"You know, I bet whatever's causing the magic dampening has to do with a falling star. Strange that you aren't affected, Lyla, I figured you'd be akin to a magical golem."

Eli has since grown into the new world and as she understands and uses her magic she matures both physically and mentally, she is of above average height and has long fiery red hair which complements her bright Azul eyes. Her mother had described them as a vessel that had captured a lightning storm at sea, bright, beautiful yet full of danger.
She has a relative petite body in an hourglass shape which is still developing into its form, some would describe her as athletic and elegant in posture and gait.
Eli now has several 'runes' of power marked on her skin.
Clothes and Equipment: ===============================
She doesn't wear the traditional clothes of a witch, mostly because she hates her lineage and instead adopts a more roguish look with almost knee-high brown leather boots, her good luck brown and white striped knee high socks which have since torn and a more practical dress, something a huntress would wear not an upcoming witch. She also wears a two-tier necklace which carries her power-stone, at current one jade and one smoky gray stone sit in their case as she has yet to master warrior magic.

Eli started wide eyed at Kelly "Fallen star? Magical golem? What are you talking about Kelly?" She asked obviously confused about all the words being thrown around.

Lyla shrugged.
"I didn't notice anything different. I've never used magic, though...I think. I don't really know what I am, though...besides that I fell from the sky. I don't remember a whole lot from before I fell, honestly. I haven't seen anything here that might be dampening your magic, but then again, I don't really know how magic works. Why are you here in the first place, though? Why don't you just leave the island so you can heal your hand?"

"Other than it just happened? We're looking for something. I was looking for fairies until Eli pointed out they wouldn't be in an anti-magic field, and now we're looking for the source."

Lyla nodded, frowning. She thought hard for a moment, trying to remember. Eventually, though, she shook her head.
"No, I barely remember anything at all. I remember falling, and growing very hot. I remember hitting the ground hard enough to drive me deep into the earth. That hurt a lot, and for the life of me I don't know how I didn't shatter into pieces. I'd break for sure if I tried that now. I'm awfully delicate, you know. But no, I only know I'm a fallen star because my other friend told me. My first friend, the one who came and talked to me and told me stories. I wish I could meet him, and talk to him again...but I don't remember his name. It was an awfully long time ago, and I don't even know if he's still alive. Still, I know you now, and the master sculptor! Oh, he's so kind to me, and so funny too! He has all these stories...good stories, not sad ones. And now I know you as well, Eli. Oh, I met Kelly a little wile ago, when I was still buried deep underground. She dug me out, and here I am now! It was awfully nice of her to go and do something like that for me. But to answer your question...no, I don't know anything about anti-magic fields. I don't feel anything different here than anywhere else. Sorry."

"Huh...weird...well, I wonder if we'll get a better view of the islands from above. Maybe we can see more and figure it out from up there....Problem is being able to fly up there without magic. My potions aren't working and Eli's magic doesn't do anything right now."

Sitting on a little jut of rock along the sheer side of the towering islands sits an odd little rock-looking thing. Wiggle wiggle~

She tried to summon the electricity field to her hand but nothing "Yeah still nothing, it kind of sucks actually and I've got this massive headache" Eli rubbed her head and sighed looking at her burnt bandaged hand. "I think I can climb a little further. Maybe you're right and we'll find what's causing the anti-magic but I'm not touching anythign again"

Kelly nodded and turned to the cermanic statue.
"You wanna join us? The more the merrier." She asked as she prepared her climbing gear for another platform high above the three.

Lyla looked up at the platform worriedly, biting her lip.
"I dunno...that looks awfully high, and I'm a lot heavier than you are. What if the rope can't hold me, and snaps! I'll break for sure if I fall on these rocks. Maybe it'd be better for me if I stayed down here, where it's safer. I don't think there'd be a whole lot of fallen stars on the tops of the rocks, in any case. I do wish I could go with you, though."
Squinting at the cliff face, she noticed @elidragon sitting in a small nook.
"Hey, what's that? It looks like an egg of some kind...maybe you should pick that up! I'll bet it would make a good dinner for you two. I don't eat things myself, but the master sculptor did tell me how much he enjoyed omelets."

Kelly looked back towards the egg with a raised eyebrow.
"You don't eat random eggs on mysterious islands. That's, like...common sense or something, man. Five gold says it's a Roc egg. Hey Eli, go check it out, I need to fortify this rope to carry Fatty here."
As she turned back she quickly turned to Lyla and patted her shoulder.
"That's a joke, please don't cry diamonds. I prefer my ladies with a little extra meat on their bones."

Eli squinted, apparently, everyone here had better eyesight than her because all she could see was a black rock. "Ok, I guess I don't have anything better to do while I wait but if it is so much as a trap, even a small one I'm going to be eating you for both for dinner" She teased with a playful smile before setting up towards the rock.
She hummed to herself an elegant tune about a star-crossed romance as she did Eli took in the scenic view, on any normal occasion where she hadn't burnt her hand, met a marble woman and almost died she'd be really enjoying herself. The hillside was beautiful and overlooked the water which reflected the sun causing beautiful colors to be cast off the beach turning them different shades of red and oranges. The water itself was clear enough t see shoals of fish swimming close to the shore.
It didn't take as long as Eli thought and she had to stop herself mid-stride from stepping on the stone, she bent down and studied it curiously looking around to see if there was any sign of magic or any sign of a trap. Happy that there wasn't she eased her hand forward and caressed the stone. "And just what do we have here" She said softly.

Lyla blinked and stepped back from Kelly's touch, looking confused and hurt.
"I-I'm not fat! And besides, I don't have any meat, or bones...just stone. I don't suppose you'd like me very much, then."
She sniffled. Despite being ludicrously heavy, Lyla was actually very svelte and athletic. If she were a normal statue, she'd find herself right at home in any art gallery, or any other institution desiring an attractive marble statue. If Kelly looked closely, it seemed that the master sculptor had treated her very well indeed, as all the little scratches and scrapes left from Kelly digging her out had been buffed out. No wonder Lyla had been so reflective before. Even if Kelly didn't like her, it was clear that someone did. However, despite her pouting, she turned back to Kelly a moment later.
"What's a rock egg? I've seen rocks, and I've seen eggs, but I don't think I've ever heard of a rock egg. That sounds like something that I came out of. I don't think I came from an egg, though. I'm not a bird."

Kelly rubbed her eyes in frustration.
"Note to self- do not joke with Lyla." She muttered. Doubling up on the climbing gear, she tossed a second rope up to create a rudimentary pulley system.
"We're going to need to teach you about humor one of these days, Lyla." She said as she began to tie the rope around the statue.

Lyla frowned, raising her arms to allow Kelly to secure her to the rope. She still seemed hurt at the comment earlier, but she allowed Kelly to hook her up to the pulley system.
"Are you sure this is going to work, Kelly? I'm not too heavy for you, am I? Besides, I know all about humor. The master sculptor is awfully funny, after all. He could make me laugh, even when he was polishing me or mending my cracked arm."
The pulley system creaked under Lyla's weight, threatening to become unstuck from the cliff.

"Lyla, I prefer women with extra weight. Makes them more...significant. Cuddlier. If I call you fat it's meant as a compliment. And don't worry, we'll get you back to the sculptor after this is all through."

The stone was actually a surprisingly rounded cut of a rock, raised with fine bumps across the surface. But it wouldn't feel quite like rock to the touch, though it was rather cool and still.

After being burned by the stone she reached out carefully, she touched the stone with her finger tips and quickly withdrew her hand. After a few seconds with nothing blowing up or trying to kill her she reached out against and caressed the stone. It was amazingly smooth and cool and Eli smiled as she took of her backpack and took out a small bit of cloth, cupping it in her hand she reached out and picked up the rock closing the cloth around it carefully before putting it safely into her bag.
It didn't take long for her too return to Kelly and her marble friend. "I'm not even sure what it is but I picked it up, were not dead or dyeing so I guess it wasn't a trap either" she smiled "Are we ready? I really want my power back"

Lyla pouted as Kelly winched her up the mountain.
"I'm not fat! I'm just dense. Besides, I'm not very cuddly either. I'm all cold and hard. I thought cuddly things are supposed to be soft and warm. I'm really not your type, huh...well, at least the master sculptor likes me."
When Eli returned, Lyla turned her attention to her.
"Did you get the egg? What are you going to do with an egg all the way up here? Eat it? It would probably make a nice breakfast for the two of you. I don't eat things, myself. It's probably a good thing, because I wouldn't want to gain too much weight."
The next plateau the trio arrived upon was bare and rocky, without the tropical vegetation that covered the others. It was made up of an odd black stone, which was smooth to the touch and was so hard that Kelly would find it difficult to drive an anchor into it.
