Strangers and Travelers"Good Afternoon Kind sir. Unfortunately whats under my hood is quite gruesome, hence why I cover it up. I'm just passing through to ask.. has there been any bad tidings as of late? Anything happen to anyone? I happen to have a very special set of skills that I use to make people happier.. and take care of any wrongdoings." Hope was usually much kinder in his words. He had heard of the town of Lux. They held polar opposites than his own. He worshiped Achlys, the goddess of Darkness and Misfortune. But in these desperate times he'd take work from anyone. Even from these.

Physical Description: He is a tall, sturdily built elf, with long blonde hair and hazel eyes. He is a bit taller than most Esdaran males, at a height between 6'2" and 6'3". His typical elfin figure is a lot stronger than it appears, and is clearly battle-scarred from years in the service.
Clothes and Equipment: His equipment is the basic gray-silver-whitish armor of the Esdaran army. A longbow with an accompanying arrow quiver is always slung across his back when not in use, and a battleaxe is always found at his hip or in his hand. Daggers are hidden in his boots and one inside of his belt, in addition to additional straps across his armor that can be used to stow and/or hide additional equipment as necessary.

"Fucking figures," he mutters to himself, content to sit and watch the priest speak until somebody at this tavern, which likely won an award for worst customer service, paid heed to their job.

Lucian shook his head, chuckling softly. "Oh no, dear Kelly. We don't mistreat anybody here! Every citizen of Lux is treated fairly. Besides, everyone follows the Light. They're born into it, and recognize its blessing for what it is. But no, nonbelievers aren't mistreated. Look at you! Once we got over the initial shock, you're being treated very nicely." The kitten got up and walked over to Lucian, who picked it up and set it on his shoulder like a parrot. It meowed, rubbing its head against his face. All of a sudden, another hooded stranger stepped through the door. The townsfolk stared at Hope "Not an Assassin" as he walked in. How had so many visitors appeared all of a sudden? Lucian smiled at him, turning away from Kelly for a moment. "Ah, welcome traveler! Welcome to Lux, please have a seat! If you'd be so kind as to remove your hood, we'd all appreciate it. Let the Light fall on your face and receive its blessing." Kelly narrowed her eyes at the newcomer and remained silent, wondering what was going to happen next.

The high priest smiled at Hope "Not an Assassin" , nodding at his explanation as to why he couldn't remove his hood. "Well, here in Lux, we don't judge you for your appearance. We believe that the Light shines in us all, and any uncovered face with the Light shining on it is far more beautiful than anything hidden. We have had no bad tidings lately, fortunately. Everyone is happy and healthy here, and the town is prospering." He pulled up a chair, gesturing for him to sit down beside @banditkelly "Here, come and sit. This is Miss Kelly, she's a visitor just like you. Come and sit with us, and let me illuminate you. Learn about the Light, and perhaps you will change your mind about the hood."

"Fucking figures," he mutters to himself, content to sit and watch the priest speak until somebody at this tavern, which likely won an award for worst customer service, paid heed to their job. With the appearance of the second hooded stranger, none of the staff or patrons noticed the elf lurking quietly in the corner. However, a small child spotted him and wandered over, staring wide-eyed at the tall elfin visitor. It wasn't often that elves came by, and the boy had never seen one before. After a moment, he shuffled up and poked Feanor in the knee. "Excuse me sir," he asked quietly. "Why are your ears pointy like that?" Strangely enough, nobody seemed to notice the boy, focused as they were on the High Priest.

Kelly noticed. Silently she waved to the newcomer sitting down at the table before gesturing to the boy.
"Your town doesn't have elves?" She whispered to the priest afterwards.

A small child noticed him before any of the adults did, typical of these small, clearly religious towns.
"Because I was born that way, why aren't your ears pointed?"
He sighed, apparently the best companionship he could get now was a pestering child. Yay.

Strangers and TravelersHe sat down to listen to the priest speak, aware that he hadn't replied his question of whether or not there was any wrongdoings or misfortunes happening in the town. Hope removed his hood to reveal a grotesque looking burn mark on his cheek. He sat down next to Kelly and asked, "Have you ever heard, or thought about what the Darkness can bring?"

Kelly sighed and hung her head low.
"Ah, god dammit..." She muttered to herself as Hope began to speak.

The head priest turned to answer @banditkelly's question, but was quickly distracted by Hope "Not an Assassin". What was this man talking about? What did he know about darkness? "Darkness brings nothing but cold and sin, sir. Those who reject the Light to embrace the darkness shall walk in the darkness forever. The Light brings warmth and illumination. Accept its blessing, and let it wash over you. It shall clean your soul and body." He picked up the kitten and put it back in his pocket, as though to protect it from Hope's blasphemy.

"Sir, it's quite okay, I have my own notions and you have yours. Maybe we can put aside our differences... I ask again though, have there been any wrongdoings or mishaps that happened here?" Hope could feel his beloved pet basilisk moving around on his arm, obviously smelling the kitten.
Perhaps she was hungry? "Also would you happen to serve any kind of small meat? A Raw rabbit perhaps?"

Why were you born with pointed ears? Are you a foreigner?" His voice dropped down to a soft whisper, and he leaned in close. "My mama says foreigners are dirty. You don't look dirty, though. Are you a clean foreigner?"

The High Priest blinked, almost shocked at Hope "Not an Assassin"'s "agree to disagree" mentality. However, he quickly composed himself. "No, we don't have any wrongdoings or trouble here. We're a very close-knit community, after all. But we're hospitable, even to those who don't accept the Light! Your room tonight is on me, as a token of the hospitality of the Church of Light." He nodded to the tavern keeper, who pulled a key off the wall and tossed it to Hope. Meanwhile, Lucian turned back to @banditkelly. "So, Kelly dear. You're just a traveler, yes? Where are you traveling from? Where did you grow up?"

"Last place I visited was some small shanty town called Isra. As for where I grew up? Doesn't matter, dragons blew it up. I was on my way through because I heard there are fey in the woods beyond here, is that true?" Kelly asked, trying to get comfortable (and marginally away from Hope).

"I grew up in the City of Scholomance, it's a city for mages to learn and practice their craft. I never quite liked it though. I grew up there, it was all I knew. I don't know where I'm originally from." Hope had hoped that this would get the Priest to rest easier with him since he still had not taken off his hood.
"So Priest, do you have any small pieces of raw meat or not?" He had hoped that the answer a positive one. His pet was starting to become restless on his arm.
"@banditkelly i remember seeing you in the weaponssmith store in Isra. We spoke about you getting traps, remember? How'd that go?" He was trying to strike up conversation seeing how jaded the woman beside him was.

I thought he seemed familiar....he seemed different with clothes on. Kelly thought to herself before speaking up.
"Let's just say I've been catching a lot of fish lately. And you said a city of mages? Any magical creatures? I've been meaning to purchase something."

"Most of the magical creatures there are summoned. There are however some mages that specialized in making bonds with rare creatures. I don't know too much about it though. I specialize in teleportation and illusions." He realized he may have said too much especially in front of the priest, but it was too late to take it back now.
"If you want you can come up to my room after you're done here." Indicating the priest.
"I'll take my leave now, thank you so much for the room." he said to the Priest. Hope left the building in search of a morsel for his pet to eat. He couldnt wait any longer.
After he caught a rabbit and fed it to his beloved pet he went back into the building with kelly and the priest and went to his room

What kind of wacko small town had he wandered into? Foreigners were dirty? He grew ever more on guard as the dirty looks were explained...his hand now resting entirely on the hilt of his sword, regretting having left his bow and arrows attached to the saddle of his horse.
"Well...yes I suppose, I'm not human but that does not make me dirty, at least how your mother means it"
He was filthy from weeks of travelling the wilderness, but that was not uncommon for anyone who travelled.

Kelly sighed and began to make her leave.
"I should probably get some sleep as well. Got a long journey ahead of me." She said to the priest. "Thank you for your hospitality."

The High Priest nodded and rose as well when Kelly and Hope got up to leave.
"Yes, of course. Have a nice night, you two."
He started to head out of the bar, then spotted Feanor. The priest paused, then walked over. They didn't get very many elves in Lux, and he'd never met one before. He knew what they were, of course. Patting the child on the head, he ushered him away.
"Run along, Timmy. Welcome, stranger. It isn't often that we get elves all the way out here in Lux. What brings you here?"
