After the pleasant gondola ride Skarlet steps back out on solid ground and is greeted by another niece of the Emira. Skarlet returns the greeting with a curtsie, "Pleased to meet you. I am Skarlet, daughter of the Empress of Isra."
Briefly looking around Skarlet could spy something moving nearby, it was easier to see because it gleamed in the light. An animal, but covered in jewels? She gasps and points at it, "Oh! What is that? Is that thing alive?"

Aishah would jump out of the gondola as if she was just climbing a simple step on stairs and would accept Maharet's hug. "Maharet!" she said cheerfully back. They were about the same height, though Aishah was sure she would outgrow her older cousin sooner than later. Maharet and her seemed to be total opposites of each other. They both had the curves of the Sakandi. But where Maharet had lighter features, Aishah made up for it with her tan and dark hair. And where Maharet had the standard dark eyes, Aishah had been born with very bright blue ones, something that was unusual among the Sakandi.
After a short while, she would let go again and mention towards Skarlet. "Maharet, I would like you to meet our honored guest. Skarlet." she said as she pointed towards the girl, letting her do the rest of the introduction herself.
Farah would eventually make his way out of the gondola as well. The creature didn't like water and would make it appear he was not planning to fall into it. Slowly paw by paw he would climb out, his nails digging into the wood of the gondola as he grabbed himself into it. Eventually, he would make it to land and brush his head past Maharet's legs before he sat down next to Aishah again.

Wrapped in a light, body covering cloak walked a man who seemed out of place in Sakand. It wasn't just the unusual weaponry he carried, or the clothing that differed from Sakandi fashion, but the expressions of curiosity and bewilderment that could be found on his face. Every building seemed astonishing to him, but even as he walked through an entire city filled with them it was The Bejeweled Water Garden that truly captured his attention.
It rose into the sky like a beacon, filled with the lush greenery and blue waters that his people spent their entire lives searching for in the desert. He could not help but approach it, admire it and desire to explore it further! Yet the openness of it was also an attracting factor, with people coming and going every which way. As much as he planned to enjoy his stay in Sakand, Akra was not there solely as a tourist and perhaps the people there could provide him with much sought information.
Finally coming upon the entrance, Akra would enter the gardens and begin to look around.

There were Hummingbird Guard near the girls as they spoke and gestured. For Akra, he would be entertained as many were -- not only with the beauty of the flora and fauna, but of the beauty of the architecture and the details of the place. It was humbling to be in a place so old, so ancient, and so well taken care of. The Bejeweled Watergardens were a symbol of Sakand and its prosperity, joined with the symbolic golden dome of the Temple of Serenity and the far off Palace that was also visible, each rising like gems among the twisted spires and unique rooftops of the magical city.
The place was open and always would be, although there were occasionally guards here and there to make sure everyone respected the temple and the other people there. Men and women and children of all ages and types came and went in the gardens, enjoying it for the beauty and serenity that it was. None of them were in the habit of approaching strangers, however, but people certainly looked at Akra -- his foreignness, and his weapon. He made them uneasy.

Maharet's warm brown eyes traveled to Skarlet. She nodded her head, the golden diadem thread through her hair glimmering against her darker locks. "A pleasure, Princess Skarlet," Maharet said, kindness the perfume she wore.
When Skarlet spied one of the sparkling animals of the bejeweled gardens, Maharet smiled. "That was a sparrow, I think. Or perhaps a starling," Maharet said. She moved forward and took Skarlet's hand in her own, pulling her toward the steps that rose into the beautiful, palatial gardens. "You must see more! There are leopards of gold and rubies here. Are you staying at the palace?"
Maharet gestured for Aishah to join them, the three lovely women traveling and chatting.

"Wow! For real? This place keeps getting more amazing!" Skarlet followed toward the steps, very interested in seeing such a leopard. She wondered how these creatures existed, how did they operate? Do they eat anything special?
"Yes, I am staying at the palace. It's all so different from home, there's a lot of life existing alongside the stone. Could you tell me more about these animals?"
