Talia's personal gravity shifts once more, pulling her towards the staff-user. She ducks beneath his strike and slides past his legs, striking one knife towards where his calves should be. The cultist falls like a stone, writhing on the ground and twisting to try and face Talia. Two more run at her with wanton abandon, not even holding weapons but seeming sure to tear her down with their bare hands. She stays low to the ground, placing a knife in the fallen cultist's back as she circles around the newcomers. Her hands deftly pull another dagger from her arsenal as she moves, gravity subtly pulling her on her way. She attacks from the flank, gravity pulling her until her feet have left the ground. Her legs spring out in quick kicks to knock the cultist's hands out of the way, and she lands on his chest, driving a knife for his throat.

"...no....after all we've worked for....no..." The Speaker stumbles toward the screaming Guide, raising the axe high over their head.

He didn't seem like a bad person. But in the end everything had to die. She looked back at the distracted guides, and used it as a chance to move to another more advantageous spot in the arena stands, charging up her magic as she moved (1).

The Guide seems to grow in height, stumbling around to face the Speaker. The Speaker raises their weapon, clearly struggling/trying to strike down the Guide.
"Die, demon!" The Speaker's shriek is halfway between a roar and a plea, as they leap toward the Guide.
Only a few robes charge at Tsatsa and Talia (two each, and none of the four carrying anything beside staves), the rest seem to be running rampantly to support their friend the Speaker.

She then ignores the two, and moves over to get a better view of the commotion down in the coliseum. It was all very confusing, with the people attacking them suddenly and the guide turning into some sort of evil goo.

The Speaker shouts, raising their weapon and crying out to the arena. "All who remain, to me! Stop the demon from rising!"
Their voice rings hollow. Of the yellow-robes that had inhabited the area before, almost all save a handful have fallen to Tsatsa or Talia. The pitiful remnants of their group scurry toward the Speaker, making up about fourteen in all ringing the still twisted form of the Guide.
The Guide looks at them, raising their arms to the sky. Their left arm is still twisted, tendrils of grey flesh writhing like snakes. The robe wriggles violently, as if it is caught in a storm.
"Ah, my old friend. Hide from society, hide from death....but you cannot hide from me. You traitors have fallen. My own new friends have seen to that. Now, stand aside, and let me pass. Your circle is broken and so is your power."
(Charge Complete)
The Guide raises their right hand to their hood, as if preparing to remove it. "Give me your staves and I will let you walk here unharmed. I am not without my own mercy, your treason notwithstanding."
The Speaker is silent, trembling slightly and raising their mace weapon their head. "Death to the Old Gods!" They cry loudly, the other yellow-robes taking up the cry as well. The Guide sighs heavily, as the others advance on them.

A knife slices through the air before embedding in the throat of one of the chanting cultists. It's followed by another as Talia falls towards the group, her personal gravity carrying her over their heads. She pulls yet another dagger as her gravity fluctuates again, pulling her straight towards the Speaker - knife first.

Being someone who uses magic quite often herself, she could sense the magical energy in the air surrounding their guide and knew that any hope for the cultists' survival should be thrown out the window at this point. "One's life is decided by every choice they make I suppose..." She mutters to herself.

TsaTsaTaliaThe Speaker gags, Tali's blade stabbing them in the chest. They struggle violently, grabbing Talia's arms and pulling as if attempting to rend her in half. The other cultists rush at her, stabbing and swiping with their weapons. The Guide smiles, the hood on their head swept away as if by a cold wind. The Guide's head is now visible, an orbular, circular shape with an almost translucent, milky white hue to it. No eyes or organs can be seen embedded within, save for the head's alien nature. The Guide raises a hand, both arms now twisted and deformed into identical masses of tendrils moving together, like twin hordes of snakes. "Pity. All this effort, all this power. Cheating death and decay, trying to bind your betters away-" The Guide's arms lash out, the rest of the cultists sent flying backward by the encroaching limbs. The grey creature moves, the yellow robe stretched over their body looking less and less fitting more and more. The Speaker chokes, one hand going up to try and grab Talia's neck. "You don't know....what you've...done..." They rasp hoarsely.

"Of course I do, silly; I stabbed you." Her smile is wide and guileless, like that of a child.

She was somewhat confused as to what all is going on, as their guide had just turned into a jelly, but she still had the general idea that helping the jellified guide would be best. So she started summoning some weighted nets, telekinetically throwing them over the cultists in such a way as to not ensnare Talia or the guide.

The nets fall, binding up the rest of the cultists save the Speaker, who wrenches free from the knife and lunges past Talia. They raise the mace, swinging at Tali's head while muttering something about "the end of the world"-
-and a resounding crack is heard. Like the breaking of bone.
The sky is rent apart, a hideous splinter in it like broken glass visible even from down below. A tendril, like a massive arm, is reaching out from the portal, impaled cleanly through the Speaker's chest. They struggle violently, swear incoherently in a foreign language, and go still.
The Guide's translucent head twists, changing shape into that of a facsimile of Talia's own. "So....uncivilized," the creature says, words flowing easily from the half-formed lips. It twitches, and the Speaker's unmoving form is raised up into the portal above, vanishing from view. The Guide looks at Talia and TsaTsa, spreading their arms as if greeting old friends.
"My friends," it says in a happy, warbling tone of voice. "I thank you. You have helped me more than you can know." The creature raises one tentacle-mass "hand", placing it over their heart as if touched. "I'm myself again. It's wonderful to be myself again." The grey being looks sourly at the yellow, unconscious robed people beneath the nets. "I was lost, but now I am found, and those who made me blind have been made to pay."
The guide smiles at them serenely. "Pray tell, would you do one last thing for me? Would you...eh, perhaps mind telling me where civilization is relative to here? I've been gone so long....so far from my world."
"I think it is time I re-entered it."

Age: 30
Physical Description: Rudiger is tall at 6'3", and muscularly built from his profession. His skin is weathered from his life on the road, with the first wrinkles of age appearing at the sides of his mouth and his eyes, and thick calluses on his right hand from wielding his sword. His light brown hair has been sheered to a fade parted on the right side, and his strong chin that was once covered by thick goatee has been shaved to stubble, but his thick mustache has remained. His most prominent feature is a thick scar and his missing left eye, which he covers with a black eyepatch, which he lost in a fight with a bear.
____________________________________________________________
Clothes and Equipment: Rudiger wears a variety of cloths, depending on the situation. For battle, he wears a blue gambeson underneath steel plate armor, which encases him from head to foot. He wears a bellow faced sallet helm, which he learned to wear from the loss of his eye. He wields a hand and half sword, with a decorative eagle on the pommel. He also carries a kite shield, painted with his coat of arm, a black eagle on a red and orange checkered field.
When he's not in battle, he wears a white wool shirt, and thick woolen black pants. He always wears his tan riding boots.
He owns a dapple grey destrier, and a heavy wooden saddle with a high cantle and pommel covered in thick leather.

It was a rather normal night deep in the pine woods, with the trees being swayed by the soft summer breeze, occasionally dropping dry pine needles onto the blanketed forest floor below. The wind brought with it the earthy scent of disturbed dirt, humidity, and promise of fore coming thunderstorms. The usual buzzing and biting of insects who called the forest home was stifled by the atmosphere, providing a reprieve to the lone traveler and his horse hobbled close to him.
The world was nothing but darkness around them, save the dancing of the small camp fire, casting the pair in orange light. The crackling wood occasionally popped from the leaking of sap from the pine logs, causing the horse to flick a lackadaisical ear towards the fire. The man appeared motionless as he squatted beside the fire, though the flickering light hid his hands as they scrubbed on a piece of metal with a cloth. He appeared to be humming a tuneless song to himself as he worked, waiting for sleep to overtake him at his task.

Siris
New
Beginning his Journey!
Roleplay posts: 2
Age: 20
Physical Description: A relatively natural looking young man, with an athletic build. He stands at the height of 6'3, and weighs akin to the average male. Blonde hair comes in a thick mane upon his head, accompanied with sharp blue irises. His body is well trained, though not overtly muscular. A 'X' scar is present along the lower portion of his back, likely from being struck there via weaponry.
Clothes and Equipment: Typically wearing mundane, if not somewhat worn down iron armor accompanied with a cloak. The armor itself is of the heavier degree, dictating his fighting style of being up-close and personal. Many cuts and scorch marks mar his armor, perhaps indicating that he's seen many battles...or he just sucks at dodging. A broadsword is positioned along his side in a metal sheathe, the blade itself well-maintained, and made of natural elements (Steel and Iron). The grip is well-worn, but the blade itself is deliberately kept up to par with the demands of combat.
Allegiances: Free-Lancer as of the moment.
Player's online availability : Typically available throughout the day, though mostly after 4PM EST on weekdays.

Movement within the darkness...
Darkness had over-taken the immediate area within the forestry surrounding the blonde young man, his right hand lightly balanced along the pommel of his broadsword. The audible rattling of his metallic armor did well to ward off most animals that would lurk about, but he would keep his wits about him all the same. His torches had all but drained, and his supplies were relatively low in short order. Moving at night was an inconvenience for him, but a necessity when the hot sun threatened to cause him to over-heat. Even his emergency rations and canteens of purified water were teetering dangerously on depletion. The young Siris had come far along his journey, with plenty to show for in regards to the dangers of his travels. From his armored shoes plodding along the softened terrain, to the marring along various portions of his fortified armor. He carried many scratches along the shining surface of his ear, and despite its worn-down disposition? He wore it with pride, as he should when it has been passed down from his father and bestowed to him to don!
Cerulean eyes scour his surroundings with great care, what little remained of his dying torch offering a poor idea of where he ought to be stepping. However, fate would decree that he would not be doomed to stumble and curse about within the darkened forestry. The warm melding of both red and orange could be gleaned from the distance, and with fire, often came people or food! ranted, he was not naive to believe that individuals that kept to themselves out here were necessarily friendly. His torch would be kept low to the ground as to leave his positioning harder to discern, before steadily making his way toward the light. Keeping an eye on traps of some sort would likely be in his best interests, but provided there were none?
The youthful squire would plod his way closer to the encampment, almost reflexively going through the motion of counting how many individuals laid before him. From what he could glean from his cursory glance was that the camp belonged to one individual, along with a horse of sorts. Trusting his guts instincts on whether to approach or not, he would smother his torch with the softened mud that laid beneath him, and proceed to enter the camp. His right hand tightens upon the hilt of his blade, but he does not radiate excess hostility.
"Oi, do not be alarmed! I am a traveler of sorts, seeking my way to the nearest town. Would you happen to be able to guide me to the location of such? My provisions are low, and thus I can not afford to stumble through this forestry much longer. My name is Siris, a squire by occupation." His voice rings out throughout the forest canopy with a deep baritone, though not unpleasantly so. There was a smooth richness to his voice, albeit a bit scratchy with the lack of water. Dirt caked his cheeks and sweat had matted his hair to a degree, but no one said traveling was pretty.
Despite this, he did his best to look presentable and maintain his distance to the outer ring of the camp. Provided he was welcomed or met with hostility, he would decide where to go from there.

Age: 22
Physical Description: She stands at a formidable 178 centimeters and is exceedingly well trained and toned. She has an athletic build that had been nurtured since she began her training as a knight at 7 years old. Her hair is a golden blonde and is usually carefully braided back or twisted in a bun when in combat or training. She has piercing grey eyes that seem to take all of the surroundings and she doesn't have the most approachable outwardly expression.
Clothes and Equipment: She typically carries a long sword and a buckler with her. Built into the pommel of her sword is her family's crest, the winged wolf. This is also mirrored in her more ornate armor which has the wolf's head built into her shoulder and the wings in her elbows and behind her knees. She prefers to wear a lighter set of armor when training and sparring though or when walking around town so she can blend in more easily without being recognized.
Allegiances: Edan
Player's online availability : Pretty much whenever I'm awake. *Shrugs*

Deidra released a languid yawn that evolved into a frustrated sigh as she stood up from the soft forest floor. Tracking had never truly been her strong suit and of course, that was the one skill needed to complete her newest mission.
"How do I get myself mixed up in these things?" She muttered in complaint as she dusted off her knees. The last few villages she had past through were all whipped into a tizzy because of some beast running rampant through the connecting woods, attacking men women and children alike. Not being at home and trying to maintain a low profile, she'd tried to avoid it and let what be, be. But of course, with her luck, it was not to be.
The last village she had gone through, had been attacked while she was passing through. The beast- she hadn't even gotten a clear look- had attempted to make off with two children... And she couldn't let it pass. She managed to free the children from the beast but it had gotten away before any finishing blow could be dealt. And it was just moments later that the village pounced and begged that she slay the beast.
Another sigh left her as she twisted her back to relieve some strain. She couldn't in good conscience leave them to fend for themselves so she had given her word to rid the land of the beast before moving on and now she had already lost 2 nights to searching.
"No luck again." She muttered miserably as she accepted defeat for the night once more, deciding to set up camp for the night when she noticed a campfire in the distance and distantly heard a voice. She cocked a brow before she adjusted her path towards the spot. Perhaps this camper-or rather campers- had some idea as to the whereabouts of the beast. It was worth a shot at the very least. She walked forward, not disguising her trod so as not to appear to be sneaking up on them, just out of the tree line to catch the last words.
“-not afford to stumble through this forestry much longer. My name is Siris, a squire by occupation." She heard the young man say. Another traveler then? She stayed back for a bit watching to evaluate how the man who’s camp it was reacted.
