Physical Description: Too put it mildly, on a good day Isamu looks like he should have tied one on. The man routinely has bags under his eyes, a scowl on his stubbly face, and a gruffness to his voice that suggests he is permanently hungover. This is despite his youthful features that only barely make him look his age thanks to the large scar running under his eyes and over his nose. His chin length hair is prematurely white and he needs a haircut, if not a complete shave.

"Well then, sounds like we are good." Isamu says with a snort. He'd have to get the foreigner out of the bar and into a cheap room at one of the local inns. Then he could wash his hands of the entire affair.
"I'm helping you because you are a wayward soul and I am a kindly priest. Now come on, lets get you to a place where you can lie down without getting shanked by an upset gambler ya?"
With that Isamu leads Matvey out into the city to find the closest inn with a decent reputation that wouldn't also drain his coin purse of what little there was in it.

Roleplay posts: 32
Age: 25
Physical Description: A man of somewhat below average height, but with a fairly strong build. He has black hair which is often unkempt and a ratty beard which indicates his lack of care in shaving rather than a conscious choice. Torakichi believes it looks "rakish", however this hasn't translated into much luck with the ladies.
Clothes and Equipment: Torakichi is dressed in a pair of baggy-kneed leggings, and a short kimono top, much like most other townsmen. He has a nearly empty coin-purse hanging from his belt, and sometimes wears a bandana across his forehead. He wears wooden geta on bare feet. He also possesses a shambolic umbrella.

Torakichi's brow furrowed into a frown. “Oh, the debts I still owe?” he said, with a querying tone. He couldn't exactly remember being in debt to Yakumo but he couldn't conclusively say he wasn't either, and the likelihood was, since Torakichi was Torakichi, he probably was in debt. “I see. Thank you Teiko-sama,” he bowed a few times as Yakumo left. He felt vaguely aggrieved but wasn't sure why.
After hanging out at the bar for a while, annoying the other customers by asking them to feel his muscles, and telling them he was the reigning Snake Pit fighting champion, Torakichi was approached by the henchman with the aforementioned huge and valuable looking vase. “This is your … congratulations trophy Torakichi-dono,” said the henchman, with a smirk.
Torakichi eyeballed the vase. It was elaborately patterned and enormous. Crouching down he smoothed his hands over its surface. It was scarcely big enough to get both his arms around. “It's so beautiful,” he said, resting his cheek against its oddly slippery surface. He had no idea how he would take the thing anywhere given its size and weight. A delicious smell wafted towards his nose, and he noticed that the vase was filled with sake. “Sake too? Thank you!” A light came on in his eyes and he stood up. “Hey there bartender! Please furnish me with a cup – or better yet – a ladle.” If the bartender pretended not to notice or refuse, Torakichi just picked up the cup he had been drinking out of and dipped it into the vase of sake. “I'll drink my fill here, and then it will be lighter when I need to take it home!” he exclaimed.
By the time he had drunk as much sake as he could get at out of the top of the vase, Torakichi was in no state to be leaving. “I'm the chaaampioooon,” he slurred, lying down on the floor with his head pillowed awkwardly against the side of the vase. “I won... I'm lucky... hic... lucky Torakichi … the winner”
