Mordane "Humans?!" Said Sollix, having returned to the front gate due to the commotion, “My master sent me to find humans.” While the warrior who had just approached the camp looked like a worth and tasty foe, the troll had been given other orders. Stooping to a more comfortable height the troll swaddled towards the human showing that he held no weapons. “You human, like shiny gold?” The troll spoke to the man with what little Common he knew. His voice was deep and resonate, speech slow but accurate. “You have no axe to get gold from mountain. Huk, huk, huk.” The troll gave a throaty laughed, apparently pleased with his attempt at a joke. "Where you little friend go?" The tusked head bobbed and swayed as Sollix sniffed the air. The troll ran off, leaving his escort behind. “Oi, what’s he…” “Just let em go, dat guy might be a bit crazy.”They’d leave the way the came, to return to patrolling.

@huntinglegion She crashed into the undergrowth well off from the palisade, keeping as well out of sight as she could be - watching to see if they had followed. They hadn't. She was safe for now. Letting out a partially pained exhale that was almost a whimper, she settled to flop on her back in the dirt, taking the time to catch her breath. She was too easily winded from that run, and still exhausted in general. Hungry, nay, starving. What she wouldn't do for just a simple bowl of rice right now. Lying there, it wasn't long before she was struggling against an urge to sleep. @ketsueki would have her peace for a while, as the Legion organized more patrols. While the ground was generally uncomfortable, there were a few patches of solid flat ground that could be rested on. Over that period of time though. More parties would exit through the gates, and all the search patterns would get wider from the camp’s walls, potentially putting her in danger.

The Hunting Legion Sollix As Mordane began to address the bandits he was interrupted by the trolls sudden entrance, and it's rather odd question. He decided he would entertain it at least for now. "Yes I like gold, that's why I'm here." Mordane wasn't amused by the trolls joke but gave a slight smile, acknowledging the attempt. His head perked up at the mention of a "little friend" he had come here alone. With a puzzled expression on his face he asked the Troll "Friend? I've come here alone, what are you talking about?"

The bandits are quiet for a bit while they wait for the conversation to be finished, they got annoyed the longer it went on. One of them gets steamed enough and shouts down at Morgane and Sollix, "HEEYYYYY! This ain't no meet and greet! Ye comin' to Hunting Legion camp and ignore? RUDE! Who are you, hoomin?!"

She wasn't sure how long she had nodded out, despite the crude terrain she slept on, but something startled her awake. Ketsueki had come to be too light a sleeper after several particular months, and it kicked here. Something nearby?
To her horror, it was more Oni patrols - and not just demons. She could see creatures that stood as men, but with much more pronounced reptilian features. And they were sweeping closer to her location. A little too close.
There was no running this time, not with them being as close as they were. The best she could hope for was to quietly scurry further into the brush cover in hopes of tucking herself out of sight. At least she was a small woman, though the rough and jagged branches were less than friendly at her intrusion. But she remained crouched down low and shoved herself into their scratching embrace... and watched with further horror as she forgot to drag her pack along with her.
Now all she could do is wait and listen, and hope the nearby parties went on their way...

The Hunting LegionNoticing the impatient bandits on the palisade Mordane addressed them to answer their question, while still keeping an eye on the Troll in front of him "I'm Mordane, and I'm here to join up." All he wanted for the moment was access to the camp to check the place out, if he felt he could make good coin here or perhaps more then that, land a position of command, he might stay for a while.

Now all she could do is wait and listen, and hope the nearby parties went on their way... She could hide, but not run. Multiple groups strolled through the forest land, all around her, nearly on top of her. They muttered and complained about being out this night, looking for shadows in the dark. Two groups came very close to her, the larger one in front of her hiding spot. They seemed to be getting closer, yet they did not see her. Then there was a rough voice behind her. “There.” Quickly followed by a puff of air down a tube, follow by a dart flying at her back. Should @ketsueki look behind her, there was a gnoll who’d pointed her out, and a goblin who’d fired a dart from a blowgun about 8 or so meters away. The larger group heard the one gnoll speak, and turned while drawing their weapons. Hiding wasn’t an option now.

Ketsueki swore they could hear her heart thundering her in chest as it pulsed in her own ears. She was scared, a feeling she was still coming to grips with, and it was strangling her. Wide eyes, frantic, were darting all over the place to watch for these creatures hunting for her. She even clapped a hand over her mouth, trying to silence her accelerated breathing.
She heard one speak a single word that she could understand and her blood ran cold. She prayed to the spirits they hadn't found her.
The sudden pinprick pain in her back told her otherwise, and she jerked in the brush hard with a muffled sound. She had been found, and her only other option was to flee despite the fact the group before her was closing the gap. She didn't know what dart had hit or or what it might have afflicted her with, but so long as she could move and breathe she was frantic to tug and pull and flail to try and pry herself from the brambles and thorns of the brush in hopes of escaping. Or if she could get to her pack, she knew she had a few measly small arms in there to defend herself with.

Or if she could get to her pack, she knew she had a few measly small arms in there to defend herself with. As her heart rate amped up and she attempted to escape from the bush, more things would occur. That original pin prick pain would start out normal, however, very quickly it numbed out and she wouldn’t be able to feel it any longer. Her muscles in her back would tense and lock up, making it an absolute chore just to move her body. Over time this same feeling would spread up her neck and down her limbs. Both groups now converged down on her spot, surrounding her in a loose circle from all sides as the poison took its effect. One member had a weighted net at the ready, but was hesitant to tosh it onto the bush and possibly miss and let her get away if she could resist the poison.

When her back tensed up beyond her will she couldn't help an outcry in pure panic. She flailed more desperately and struggled to try and drag herself free. It was as if the damned bush wanted to hold her in place, clinging to her clothes, but she tried as hard as she could before the same sensation crept into her hips and her shoulders. No matter how she tried to will her body to work, she just couldn't get her limbs to move. It wasn't much longer before the most she could do was strain to twitch her fingers and toes. She couldn't even lift her head up off the ground.
She was left a pitiful, paralyzed heap on the ground - watching the encroaching Oni as they closed in. It was far too familiar with the Dragon Heads, watching them cast her in their shadow as they loomed over her - letting the fear sink in before they took her... this felt no different.

"Fine! Come in, go find our boss, Nat'ia , she wit hooman bandit boss. You talk to him!" The bandits didn't know Naith the Black 's name so they couldn't tell Mordane, he would have to figure out on his own. He'd have to wander through the stinky, dirty campsite until he could find who he was looking for. Naith was currently sparring with Oobie Doobie and Nat'ia was spectating along with other bandits.

It was far too familiar with the Dragon Heads, watching them cast her in their shadow as they loomed over her - letting the fear sink in before they took her... this felt no different. The sight in her eyes would start to grow hazy, only showing blurry outlines of whatever she saw. While she was face down, she could still hear the creatures’ voices all around her, slowly growing closer after all of their footsteps at once. “Now look wut we got here. I tink when caught ourself a smoothskin.”Someone had reached into the bush, and grabbed her by the leg and started to drag her out of the shrub onto solid ground. “Can we eat ‘er?”Once they pulled her out, one of them would now grasp her shoulder and flip her face side up. In the corners of her foggy vision, she could distinguish multiples of all the demons she saw. However the one standing over her was a gnoll, the one who’d pointed her out. He inspected her face and body, she was wearing something they haven’t seen before. Some sort of foreigner. “Naw, she much too small and pretty to become eatin’ meat. We’ll take ‘er in, she'll have other uses.”Someone from behind the gnoll handed him a rope, and he bent over to start tying her hands together. “We still got a few hours til dat poison wears off. One of ya grab her stuff and look through for anyting shiny.”And thus, someone would do just that while he was tightening the ropes.

The Hunting Legion - Grim Riders
Roleplay posts: 12
Age: 35
Physical Description: Naith is stout, standing 6 feet and weighing 200 pounds. The man is built like an oak tree and few other men match his strength. He has dark brown eyes, almost black it would seem. His rough beard is often trimmed, and his he has a receding hairline.
==========
Clothes and Equipment: Naith typically wears a combination of mail and leather armor, with black clothing. A large silver pendant hangs around his neck that is imbued with magical energy, although he does not know how to tap into it.
Naith carries a very special sword on his side, which he has named Greaver. Greaver supposedly belonged to a great warrior, a hero of sorts, until he was killed by Naith. Naith now carries the fallen hero's sword around first as a trophy, and second as a weapon. Greaver is light, easy to wield, and very well made. Naith suspects the blade is not made of steel, but some other special material. Like his pendant, Greaver may hold magical powers but he is not sure how to tap in to them.
UPDATE: It has been discovered that Greaver is, in fact, made of kordanite.

Oobie's foot came up in an attempt to interrupt Naith. Doing so would have caused the Kobold to lose his support and drop down onto his back - although his attempt was successful and Naith's sword did not find its mark. The Grim Riders' commander now used his free left hand, however, to grab Oobie's ankle, and brought his right arm back to slide the edge of his sword against the Kobold's leg and inflict an injury.

She wanted so badly to protest, even beg for mercy - the idea of eating her was terrifying, but what else they might have in mind...? She strained to try and let her voice be heard, but nothing in her body was working. Instead the most she might accomplish was squeaking out a miserable sound. Why couldn't she fight back?!
She heard them rummaging around through the old, worn satchel she had been carrying - more so when they would come across the steel weapons in her possession. The shuriken stars, the senbon needles, and the two or three pointed kunai daggers made enough noise as they rattled against each other. Somewhere in the bottom of the bag were two tiny gold coins floating around loose - the only money she had left. There was a change of clothes to a plain robe and kimono for the occasion to dress something better than what was on her back.
Ketsueki had a feeling she was about to lose it all to these monsters, and more. If she could cry, she would have. Instead, all she could was lie there in the dirt as they tied her up.

Instead, all she could was lie there in the dirt as they tied her up. “Ooh, dere somethings in here I ain’t ever seen.” He said as he laid out her weapons and clothes on the ground for inspection. He saw the money, and waited for the precise time to quickly pocketed it without any of his comrades seeing. The Gnoll who was seemingly the leader had finished binding her hands and could hear the strained cries of fear. “Whimper moar and I might feel sorry for yah lady.” He said as he used one hand to lift her under the armpit, and pointed for someone else to lift her other side. Another would take up the offer, and grabbed her. “Stop foolin’ around with that!” He shouted at the one who was playing with the new toys and knives she’d brought. “Pack it up, we’re goin.’” He wasn’t about to waste time with his brand new catch laying around. The group started to move out towards the camp with @ketsueki in tow, her lower half dragging along the ground. She might have begin feeling the poison’s effects slowly wear off, however it would be quite a while until she would fully recover from the numbness. Multiple of the bandits tailed behind her in view, looking her over for what they might do with her now that they had one more small woman.

She could feel the eyes all over her, and it was just as effective at making her skin crawl as if they were actual hands. Yet she could do nothing but hang limp as she was dragged along, head lolled back to cast her blurred vision up to the dark skies of the evening.
At one split second she felt a twitch from her foot that made her knee jerk - and she became hopeful for only that moment before she lost control again. Whatever it was they injected her with, it was clear it wasn't going to wear off anytime soon.
She managed a subtle grunt this time as she strained to move, this time sounding a touch more aggressive though it was still a meek thing. This loss of control, the inability to even defend herself... it was demoralizing. Demeaning. She was scared to find out where she was going, and wanted nothing more than to get away.

You wanna live don’t cha?”The familiar stench of the camp assaulted her nostrils once again as they got closer to the one gate she had visited. Light from nearby torches would wash over the group as they passed through the main gate, inside was the familiar site of all those tents and such @ketsueki had seen through the wall. Eyes watched and spoke about the group trodding along the center path. “They just got dat piece rite there?” “Oi, dey said it was just a shadow. But I odn’t think that miss is a shadow.”They’d proceed until the found a specific clone tent, presumably either the Gnoll’s personal tent, or perhaps where they dumped prisoners. She’d have to wait to find out.

Live. Considering her current predicament, she thought it wiser to obey. She let out a huff of a breath as she tried to stop straining to work against the poison in her system. Then again, with little to no control over her body she couldn't tell if she was relaxed or not. It was near maddening, and she still felt like she was struggling all the while she was dragged.
There were more peering eyes from those in this foul excuse for a camp. Despite having nothing in her stomach, she felt sick when the scent overwhelmed her once inside the walls. Yet she couldn't fear becoming ill on the spot - she couldn't even move. She just hoped she wasn't sick and choked due to her inability to move. Her vision was still unclear, but there was a color shift. It was maybe a tent she was being dragged to. She began to fear the worst.

The Hunting Legion Sollix He had been allowed inside, at least that was over with. He began to walk towards the gate leading inside and drew closer to the Troll, Sollix, as he spoke. Before entering the encampment to begin looking for the boss he would speak directly to the Troll. "Sure why don't you come with me. Let's go find the boss." After walking for a bit more he would add "Oh, and you never did tell me exactly who else is here, seeing as you mentioned that there was another human about." Mordane figured having a troll on his side couldn't hurt, he didn't seem very smart but he looked like he could rip off the side of a barn with his bare hands. Not someone he wanted as an enemy. Once inside he would begin looking around, drawing closer to what seemed to be the center of the encampment. The stench of the place was horrible at first but it wasn't something Mordane wasn't previously acquainted with. He had been through plenty camps more squalid and filth ridden, although those had been of the human variety. While walking he would keep a close eye out for anything that seemed interesting. Wether it be another human or a kobold that looked like it was in charge.
