((Separate scene from Oobie and Naith)) Legion Master Zhax... she wasn't sure how she got here. Wherever "here" was, exactly. All she knew was the place was drab and dense, with trees crawling with moss from the moist and marshy environment, and that she was tired. She rubbed at her darkened eyes with her free hand, the other still holding the miserable pack over her shoulder. This was what she was reduced to - lost. Exhausted. Hungry. No home, no family. Tawakoshi had virtually shoved the woman from her bosom and off the shores, to spirits-know where. She grew tired of pushing back the stray hairs that had fallen from the loose tail drawn at the back of her head, and of tugging at the obi belt and uwagi top in discomfort. The environment was draining. But she had to stop at some point - she could smell something else on the air besides the wet land. And something was in the distance, like a settlement. Perhaps a camp? She could see tent tops out of the mass of figure on the horizon. The idea of meeting more strangers in strange lands was unsettling. She could only stand still for the moment to consider her options. Among the wet forest, @ketsueki would see the occasional wandering wildlife stand still for only a moment before either returning to their underground den, or scurrying away in some underbrush after spotting her, or another disturbance. As she came closer to the campsite, she may find an occasional patrol of 4-5 gnolls, goblins, kobolds and the like, smaller quicker creatures that were generally considered scum to more civilized races, but a distinct lack of any human looking figures. From afar, they seemed to appear like no other soldiers or war parties. They carried no banners, nor had any sort insignia or clean set of identifying colors that matched. Clearly some sort of roguish party was entrenched here on these grounds. @ketsueki could try to approach or communicate to one of these outer patrols, or she could choose to approach the wooden palisade and either make her way around to the makeshift gate, or attempt to sneak in without permission, for whatever reason. For the moment, she had time to think about an approach. These patrols clearly weren’t eagle-eyed.

At last Sollix had reached the Kobold camp. The journey had been far too boring. The troll had not known what to expect traveling in these lands, still, he knew nothing. Surely, there was some excitement to be found in the world. He could not report back to his master saying he had walked some pleasant roads through the wilderness and encountered no one. His mission was to suss out the happenings of the land before returning. Nearing the camp, which was obvious due to the smell, Sollix called out in a common troll dialect, "Ho to the Camp. Have you a place for one such as I?" On the other side of the camp, Sollix would approach, and mostly remain unchallenged. Until he started yelling aloud to the camp. His shouting may have been ignored for now, but it did attract a 5 man team of bandits from nearby to his location. At first they rushed to surround him in a circle and bantered, but soon realized he wasn’t a human in the darkness. “Oi who’s dis big goi creepin’ round out ‘ere, he ain’t one of us.” “We should eat ‘em, then kill him. Wait…” “Naw, but he could be one of us, Wat you want? You aren’t workin’ wit one of dem softies are ya?”They did surround him in a full circle with weapons drawn, but the formation was loose, as it seemed he didn’t want to fight them or try and run.

"Softies are hardly good eatin'. Mostly, fat and bone. The flesh of a warrior... That's what I like. A powerful warrior, who's been eatin' good." Sollix licked his lips, "Though I don't suppose there'll be any of those out here... Maybes you can help me find some?" The troll crouched as he surveyed the loose circle that surrounded him. It didn't look like there were going to attack so Sollix made no further moves that might escalate the situation.

She had never seen creatures like these before - perhaps some relatives in books speaking of demons, but not quite. They were quite foreign to her.
Her curiosity was getting the better of her judgement again, and she waited for an opening to make a quiet sprint for the wall and creep around to look for a palisade break that could peer through into the camp. She just hoped she could get a small look inside before a patrol could make a round in her direction... though she forgot anything like wall patrols that might be looming above her.

These bandits could get along with the troll. “Oh yah, we jus’ happen to have sum meatz inside. We haven’t got da best in a while, but we got some raw and red ready to get eaten. Here, let us bring ya inside.”The group sheathed their weapons one by one, and would begin leading the newly found troll inside and through the palisade gate (Opposite side of camp from Akiyama) to reveal himself to the muddy and unsanitary innerworking of the camp. Nobody seemed bothered by the smell or sight of it though. None of the persons along the tents seemed to notice him, it must have been a normal sight to see a troll among these bandits.

Oobie leaned back to avoid the attack - an expected move. But then he continued going back, leaving his entire person seemingly exposed. Naith aimed the point of his sword at the top of Oobie's sternum. In the position the kobold opponent was in he would have a hard time 'dodging', and since he was using his right hand to catch himself the golden claw would have been of no use. Should the kobold attempt to come back up as intended he would only drive himself into the tip of Naith's blade. Trying to use any footwork would surely force the kobold onto his back, leaving him in an even more vulnerable spot. Oobie had thought up a possible win condition, but he wasn't going to get there yet. Oobie realizes that he'd made a mistake, as novices are prone to, and was about to be punished for his carelessness. Even with a powerful ability like his, Naith's combat experience was vastly greater. As the young Kobold saw the blade getting closer to him, he felt fear creep over him, but he remembered he wasn't really in danger, though if this wasn't a sparring match and it was a real fight he would more likely be finished. As his hand starts to touch the ground he contemplates forfeiting. There was no way he could win, if he tried anything now he'd only hurt himself. No... Oobie didn't want that. Other kobolds would likely try to just get away unscathed and run like a coward, but Oobie didn't want to be like the others. Just like his father, he rejects the ways of his race. If Oobie was going to be superior to the rest of these lower creatures he needed to stay in the fight and keep searching for his opportunity to strike! But how could he continue to stay in the fight? He couldn't possibly use either of his hands to make a quick and meaningful enough move, he remembers though that he has more available! Oobie lifts up his foot to kick Naith's sword arm, either to maybe disarm him or at least move arm upward enough to give him space to get out of the way.

She just hoped she could get a small look inside before a patrol could make a round in her direction... though she forgot anything like wall patrols that might be looming above her. @ketsueki would get her opportunity to sprint across to the wall, and she seemingly made it without anyone noticing her. The crude wall had gaps between the upright logs that were normally caked with mud, however over the time the mud had eroded or had fallen out, leaving plentiful gaps for the woman to peer through, but not squeeze between. The palisade was too small to have ramparts, and thus, she’d be safe from peering eyes above. This time. That wall was also very challenging to climb alone, at least without proper equipment or gear. As she looked through she wouldn’t get much of a sight, but she could see the backsides of closed tents, the sheets fraying near the ends, clearly in need of being repaired and washed. Outside the rear of the nearest tent was a dying fire, with a drying rack nearby, strung with dangling bist of raw meat from it, clearly for some sort of consumption. A couple weapons laid out back too, both with their tips in the dirt. Most likely weapons the ninja has never seen before. The occasional “demon” strolled around in front of the tent, but were mostly out of view from her position as they walked by idly chattering in very poor Common, or some other crude unheard of language. She was now running on time. While the nearest patrol that was hugging the wall was still quite a ways down the path, they were going to stroll down into her. She’d eventually need to move.

... monsters? They seemed like it, sounded like it. They were certainly Oni... or an equivalent. Her breath caught in her throat as, upon nearing, the stench of the place invaded her senses. It was more than unpleasant, but at least she wasn't one to be sick from it. The thought of the patrol was a mere thing at the back of her mind now as she peered between the log posts, and began to creep along to try and unveil more to be seen as she moved. Fortunately she moved away from the incoming patrol, though whether or not she was in pace or faster was yet to be seen - and she didn't move very quickly, as she had to try and piece the scene together from the sliver windows of each wall section she passed.
Something was telling her she needed to leave, that this was a terrible idea and bad news. The last thing she wanted was to be at the mercy of an Oni - she didn't want to know if these things could be as cruel as the Dragon Heads had been. Or worse so. Yet she couldn't tear her eyes from what she was seeing, much to the curse of her training in intelligence gathering. Surveying. She wanted to see more at the same time.

The troll followed the bandits into the camp. "Huk!" He grunted approvingly. These Kobolds were an active lot. There were more of them than Sollix would have supposed. It might be in his good fortunes to try and stick around with this bunch. The smell of fresh meat wafted above the stink of the camp. He really did smell man flesh, and wondered if there had been a fight recently. The trolls stomach let out an audible growl.

Mordane came upon the camp whilst traveling to Isra to look for work. Having just finished up with a company out in the middle of nowhere, albeit the money was good, he was hoping to get a job a bit closer to civilization.He never cared to much where his income came from as long as it was plentiful.
Mordane didn't notice the encampment right away, although he had been warned of bandits along this road by a few passerbys and was extra cautious. He first noticed the kobolds, darting around in the woods at the edge of his vision, small indistinguishable shapes scuttering around in the brush. Instead of turning back at the sight of them he merely kept a hand on his weapon, prepared for any ambush but not openly showing it. He figured they wouldn't take him for an easy mark if they had any sense in them.
After a while he spotted the main encampment itself, the wooden palisades and smoke billowing from numerous campfires alerted Mordane to it's presence. He decided that he would enter the camp and check it out, perhaps there was some coin to be made here, or , if the locals were a bit too restless, some sword practice.

Some of logs did still have caked mud wedged between them, thus would make getting a clear view harder as she moved along the tall wall. Her changing view might uncover more variants of the original tent, and perhaps catch more sights of these unfamiliar beasts. However, as she moved along the wood stakes she would be coming up on one of the guarded gates, which would be problematic. While the patrol behind her hadn’t seen her, they were still going to sandwich her between the gate guards and themselves at the current rate.

@huntinglegion
It was grimly mesmerizing to see these things, like a children's storybook and the monsters had come to life before you. She was moving too far along the wall, and came to a very sudden halt when she realized she was almost upon the entrance and a guard party here. Frozen, she stared for a moment or two - holding her breath. They hadn't seemed to spot her, though if she had gone closer...
Her head turned as she realized she was still in the line of sight when that patrol party came around the bend. This was bad... where the hell was her head at? She normally wouldn't leave herself to be caught like this. Now she had to think, though her options were limited. And attempting to scale this rugged and cruel wall wasn't happening - she was too weakened, and her tiger claws were gone.
Her eyes turned back out through the trees from where she had come... and she took off at a dead sprint, hoping that she could get far enough away to stay out of their reach before they noticed exactly where she had come from, and if they decided to take up chase she might hold a slim chance to get away.

Rumbled the troll as he bobbed his head around, looking for the location of the food, "My master, The Great Red Beast, sends me. He rests in the mountains until the time's right. There's somethings he needs to know and somethings he needs having. Perhaps, I can talk to your leader about such things?" A rustling of undergrowth by the gate he had just come through put Sollix in a state of alert. The man smell suddenly seemed too fresh to the trolls sensitive nostrils. "What's that!" The troll grunted as he straightened to peer over the palisade.

When she ran across, both parties would spot her mid dash. The ones along the wall would pursue at a run, but only for a short distance. They weren’t going to spend all night chasing down one lone figure they saw, which may or may not have been a wild animal, or perhaps one of their own who were outside without permission. The gate house party saw the outline of the ninja as she ran away. They were not supposed to chase people from their position, they were told it would leave the gate open to entry. Instead, they raised their pole-arms and shields and blocked the gate. One of them shouted at the mystery shadow. “Stop rite there!” But she did not stop. “You see that ting too?” “Yah they went dat way.” The captain of the guard pointed in the direction in which @ketsueki had fled. “You want us to go after ‘em? We’z been itchin’ to kill sumthin new.” He waved his spear above his head, signalling the rest from his patrol to rally on him. “No… But I’m going to double our guardz, don’t want it comin’ back.” The captain sent one of his goons towards the camp center to round up some extra people to patrol. She was safe in the line of greenery, but re-entry would much more challenging this time around, as the guard presence seemed to double over time.

The kobold reports to another bandit who mocks him for being old but comes out to take a look at the approaching man. The Kobold who was nicknamed Old Mold grumbles about youngers having no respect and returns to his post while someone else shouted at Mordane, " Who dat?! Who dere?!"

@huntinglegion
She crashed into the undergrowth well off from the palisade, keeping as well out of sight as she could be - watching to see if they had followed.
They hadn't. She was safe for now.
Letting out a partially pained exhale that was almost a whimper, she settled to flop on her back in the dirt, taking the time to catch her breath. She was too easily winded from that run, and still exhausted in general. Hungry, nay, starving. What she wouldn't do for just a simple bowl of rice right now.
Lying there, it wasn't long before she was struggling against an urge to sleep.

The Hunting Legion Mordane called back to the voice which addressed him whilst bringing himself closer to what seemed to be an entrance. "I'm here to join up." Mordane figured he would give little information at first until he was certain of the intentions of the guard. The bandits huddled together to discuss what they were going to do. They could see the man was very tall, and humans weren't much of a welcome site. "What we do, Old Man? Let him in?" "Naw it's a softie! Back in my day we wuz never workin' wit no Hoominz!"
" Surprised you can tell it a Human wit yer old eyes. "HEYY! What makes you think we're gonna let you in, smooth-skin?" The bandits call to Mordane, deciding to hear if he has a good reason or says something entertaining. A lot of the bandits didn't like it, but since Nat'ia has been making friends with those other bandits they have to be around humans more.

Mordane"Humans?!" Said Sollix, having returned to the front gate due to the commotion, “My master sent me to find humans.” While the warrior who had just approached the camp looked like a worth and tasty foe, the troll had been given other orders. Stooping to a more comfortable height the troll swaddled towards the human showing that he held no weapons. “You human, like shiny gold?” The troll spoke to the man with what little Common he knew. His voice was deep and resonate, speech slow but accurate. “You have no axe to get gold from mountain. Huk, huk, huk.” The troll gave a throaty laughed, apparently pleased with his attempt at a joke. "Where you little friend go?" The tusked head bobbed and swayed as Sollix sniffed the air.
