"That's a very nice lighthouse, if I do say so myself. Swartz lighthouse, right there. That's my last name, by the way. Swartz."
He chirps again.

It just felt good to be aware of the starry sky without wanting to dirty dance with random strangers on a noisy beach. She breathed in deeply.

Surprisingly the party has not spread as far away from the town core as the light house. The old stone path leading the building is unlit and the only illumination comes from the town a mile behind and from the beacon at the top which it pointing out to sea. You can also see a faint twinkling light from a small shack near the base clearly the lighthouse keepers home.

"Sounds like you got a few tales to tell, just like my drinking buddy. Yeah pineapples are big here, only place in the world they grow. Though the tourist industry is booming too."
He nods at Jun and Calico.
"How are you enjoying the island so far? I mostly keep to myself but from what I see there is quite the party tonight. Saw a big column of fire earlier wonder how they pulled that one off."

"I mean, it's nice knowing you can defend yourself against most people. Problem with being a mage is you tend to either go after or attract the extraordinary. My dad taught me that every individual's life matters, regardless of how powerful they are. So when your life is no more significant than a simple farmer's, and your superior abilities attract superior problems and foes, it kinda cancels out. But honestly, it's still fun. It'd take a lot to convince me to give up my abilities."
Jun felt around for her coin purse. Once again she did some arithmetic in her mind. "... I can afford a week at the resort if I pace myself. After that I'll have to leave, unless either of you has a job for me or something."

"Sorry miss I ain't got any work for you. I can ask my drinking buddy if he's heard anything 'round town if you'd like. Still don't get too excited not much call for anything but resort staff and pineapple farmers in these parts."
