Could you make Goria a peninsula and have The Silent Desert (The Kingdom of Belrow) bordering it, taking up the uncharted lands beneath the blackfog mountains? Its about the same size as Goria, with KalKador being directly center of the desert. It would also need to have access to the main ocean some how, cause I just wrote about having a navy, and it would be a little weird with that, and being land locked. Thank you :3

even though a map may not be feasible here, due to the nature of this rp, its pretty much necessary. whether it's for knowing what city gate you need to post it, or how close is a tribe to the ocean, or where's the nearest government you can trade with. the fact that new users (even myself, when i first joined) quickly go for the map thread is proof that its something that's wanted and needed.
not having a map has made it impossible to fill one of my goals for my tribe/state (and is one of the reasons im not nearly as active as i should be) , which is to establish trading routes and trading relationships between nations and the S.D.T. (southern deer tribe). while i do agree with admin in the fact that making one would be extremely hard, i think it would definitely be possible with some time and effort.
after all, travel and nation/group building is a huge of this rp, and neither are too easy without a general lay of the land.

As a storm dragon, his hide and flesh can generate an electric charge passively when threatened, much like an eel, and can naturally and instantly release it upon being touched by a foreign organism or object.
As a human he takes the appearance of a man in the age range of forties to fifties, averagely built besides being a few inches taller than the average Joe and dressed in clean leather armor and worn blue cloths.
Clothes and Equipment: Two small leather pouches tucked under wings
He owns his father's ancestral unique magical scale mail. It is enchanted to break on impact and the shards return his body and reform into a different piece of armor until it is struck, then it repeats the steps.
A set of personal shoulder pads forged by Brock the forge master. It focuses the passive electricity in his hide into a beam of magic energy which blasts away targets.
Weaponry: Claws, Breath Attack (Lightning), and Bite
Treasure Hoarding: Minimal, mainly gems sometimes gold.
While as a human, he wields a magical long-sword, not much is known about his weapon, as he rarely uses it.
Allegiances: Isra (Loosely)

While I have to agree it would be nice to have a world map. But on a technical level it'd be near impossible to keep this accurate and up to date. The Sandbox grows and changes as we know, and because of this we would need to quickly keep this up to date. Another major problem is the different sizes or perceptions of borders. I don't see it being easily plausible.

I will fix it up later. But so long as the key points are on the map and each government can agree on their borders, then there really is no issue. O.o;
Anyways, sry for it being scrunched, I have to redo it later tonight. But I will reshape goraia to where the ocean comes across the south that way Belrow can have an ocean border. It's not hard to do. O.o;
I'm sure we have a team of players that wouldn't mind handling updating a map. Most older nations have set in place what they want, so it's just the addition of new players that has to be kept up with.

I don't see it being easily plausible. near impossible is still possible. and like i said before, it is pretty much necessary for things like trade and figuring out what nations have what lands. it has been done before by many others, in other rps, and i believe its just as possible here. some people here have already made it clear that they would be willing to maintain such a thing.

Even though it wont ever be officially endorsed, it makes sense that there could be a cartographer's guild that maintains their own interpretation of what they've witnessed the overworld, combined with the input of several nations and players. The resulting map could give people a "general" idea of where things are if it's kept up to date (which is why a guild is preferable to a single person), and as long as it's presented and used IC (as opposed to OOC), it shouldn't come across as an idea that new players might mistake as being "official."
