"Business," Eilagwen answered, setting her Sylvelain coins on the counter as payment. "I hope to establish trade between the Free City and Sylvelis. What can you tell me of the ruler here?"

"Well, let's see.." He said as he tapped his chin in thought. "I know in the past she used to be a brothel owner before becoming the leader of Isra. She's also pretty private- doesn't talk with us 'lesser folk' unless she's forced to. Though considering your prestige she'd most likely want a word with you."
Cheesecake chimed in, chirping for a good thirty seconds before Riley shook his head.
"They say that but last I saw her nose was fine." He replied.

A small trace of alarm made its way into the elven's woman gaze to learn that the supposed High Lady of Isra had been, instead, a brothel girl once. "Lady" was just a product of rising through ranks, not anything of birth.
Eilagwen's gaze traced back to Cheesecake as she chirped, and then settled back onto Riley as he finished speaking. "I see. Thank you. May I have the key to my room?" Again she was direct, yet not necessarily rude. It was clear that the woman was not accustomed to ... 'letting her hair down,' so to speak.
Indeed, her bearing spoke of military, and she was clearly armed as well.

"Sure, I just need your weapons. It's our policy."

Eilagwen stopped. She looked at Riley, deadpan. That a man would ask for her weapon when she was staying in a common house where anyone could enter... it did not sit well with her. She had other methods of defense, of course, but her blade was an extension of herself. It belonged upon her, at the very least within a tavern.
"I've made a mistake," she told him, and reached out to pick up the coins from the counter that she'd put down to pay for her night. "My apologies for taking your time." The words were said by rote, and the elven woman made her way out the door.

Riley raised an eyebrow.
"Huh? That's just common policy around here...can't exactly have you attacking the other patrons and all. If you're worried about safety you don't need to- Cheesecake here keeps this place well guarded."
Cheesecake put her hands on her hips and beamed proudly as she hovered near Riley.

She paused at the door, and turned to regard him as he finished speaking, gesturing to the fairy. "I understand, and I thank you for your time," the tall woman spoke.
She opened the door and left, moving toward her silver elk that had been tethered to the front. It looked at her, nostrils flaring for a moment. She pat her hand along its neck as she untied the reins, then easily mounted onto its tall back.
With a quiet click of her tongue against her teeth, the elven woman made her way back toward the street, unless stopped in some way.
