Maxia shrugged. "Mostly grand standing to unite your fellow nobles. ...But not you. You still have your doubts about this, about me."

"I am finally reunited with a small faction of my people, and you suddenly are here among them - you called upon them, as you said. You claim to be something from the very beginning of our people - I struggle to hold that to anything concrete. I do not trust you, I will not trust you. If the rest of the Houses will hold some faith in you, I stay my sword unless you give me clear reason to do otherwise - for I promise you, you prove to be using Aaedan or her people for some ill goal in your mind, nothing will stop my blade next time."

Maxia tipped her head forward slightly and spoke in an all too serious tone, "You are right to to not trust me. As you say I am a stranger to your people." She took a small step toward Krahen, "I will tell you now that I have no ill will toward the Aaedanians. I have only one goal, and that is the resurrection of Aaedan." She narrowed her eyes, "But my words fall upon deaf ears. Perhaps," she paused in thought for a moment and touched her chin. Her hand fell to her side once more and she resumed her words, "I suppose that in order for you to trust me, even a little bit I should tell you the whole truth." She leaned slightly on her staff and gripped it with both hands before continuing, "I'll admit... I have told you and them only one lie; I am not an Aaedanian. I was sealed away so one day I could bring my knowledge to a later generation." She was looking hard the Aaedanian, "I am a a Xel'nadari what your people call the Architects."

This brought a very vicious sneer that bared her teeth as Krahen continued to stare down the woman. Her left hand was toying with her sword hilt more aggressively now.
"You lied to all of them, and admit only to me? Or perhaps you are looking to drive a wedge between my people, the Houses, and myself while there is this gap already in place - and planting false information. The Architects are fabled myth of our beginnings, and even if they once existed they could not have merely lived the ages between their era and now. Besides... you don't look as if you've worked a day in your life - much less erected the city.
"Do note I am growing tired of your words, seeing as there is nothing but pure boast and lies and falsehoods in them," she snarled, bracing her feet as if preparing for a fight. Things didn't seem to be getting any better.

Maxia nodded, " Indeed, my words are having no affect anyway." She took a single step toward Krahen, " Perhaps I should show you." She closed her eyes for a moment then opened them, they were pale blue in their entirety and glowing brightly. Thick cracks began to grow from her eyes across her skin. They spread quickly down her face and neck. They spread down her arms. Blue slight gently emitted from the cracks. Then the skin began to fall off. Shards of glass falling into the water all around her. The chips revealing blue skin beneath. As the crystal shards of skin fell off two horns sprouted from Maxia's forehead and curled backwards along her skull removing the hood as they grew. As the hood fell off the hair on her head grew white spreading from the root to the tip. Soon the transformation was complete and a being unlike any other stood before Krahen. It was emitting magic, an aura of sparkling specks of mana began to consolidate in air around her. Maxia spoke, her voice was echoey and distorted, " Aaedani ma jatan sind... Ma Jatan sind Xel'nadari?"

The moment she noticed some sort of change initiating, her blade rang from the scabbard and remained poised at the shifting mage before her. What stood in her place after the transformation made her waver slightly, though she was extremely uncertain now.
The words fell on ears that could not comprehend, and Krahen began to wonder what was really going on right now. Was this... truly an Architect of old? Or had the magic of the dragon guardian of the Mana Tree not worked and her delusions return tenfold? Granted, there was no whispering in her head right now...
She swallowed hard as she awaited... something. She didn't know what. But she was frozen in place for the moment.

Maxia blinked slowly then spoke, "This the form some of us attained the same you and yours attained those eyes." She released her staff and it hung in the air. "I have observed your people and I believe the Lion is worthy as our inheritors. I am sending you and the other nobles to our greatest seat of power. A city that was meant to travel the oceans bringing our might and magic across this realm. I have no plans to be apart of your government, nor use your people in anyway. I simply wish to complete the work of my people and see it used by those I have deemed worthy. You may not like it, but telling the rest of you that I am an Aaedanian was needed to spur them to action. To make them even consider the possibility I was speaking the truth." She leaned back slightly, her legs coming out of contact with the water and began floating in the air. "I have told you the whole truth. So the question is what will you do?"

Krahen was quiet for a while as she tried to process everything that was going on before her eyes. Considering the very malleable presence of arcana present about Maxia, it was... it was very much possible she was an original Architect. Even the other houses didn't possess magic this potent or wield it this easily.
It was rather terrifying to think of, really. Despite how her pride didn't want to give in, she had to wonder how close to death she had come when she attempted to attack.
Again, she swallowed hard the lump in her throat before she found her voice. Her sword lowered a little ways, no longer pointed defensively at Maxia. "... You have my sword. I will follow. I will help. But I hope you understand if I still doubt your word on what you are. And that I will continue to hold you in uncertainty moving forward until I am sure of you..."

She smiled, only a corner of her mouth curving upwards, "I would expect nothing less of a Takans." She flicked her wrist toward Karhen and a a yellow magic circle appeared above her. The same variety that teleported the others away. "Do what you wish with the truth, but know... Once the city has risen from the sea I will tell them the truth."

And what was she to make of that? She had a feeling none of the Houses would listen to her anyways if she even tried to speak of the knowledge she had been given today. Her eyes glanced up to the hovering ring of magic above her head, before looking to Maxia again.
"And where will you send me, Xel'danian?" she huffed.

Krahen could only nod in agreement - she had been the initial individual that brought her out here to begin with. And she held a bit more respect for Tania and her deeds over the individuals of the houses that she was unfamiliar with. At least, this was her view after the fall of their city.

Physical Description: A towering demon, around twice as high as the tallest human. His features are a mix of reptilian and notably canid-like, and a pair of dark backswept horns atop his head. His eyes and mouth burn with orange fire that seems to never be going out.
Rivadis' body is highly resistant to damage, as his skin is several hundred layers tougher than virtually any normal creatures', as well as organic dermal armor which is yet stronger, and can serve as apt armor when needed. His tail, adorned with a number of dark spines of the same dermal armor, is also an excellent weapon for bludgeoning nearby foes or causing collateral damage.
Clothes and Equipment: Rivadis wields a gigantic trident, with a very elaborately carved skull on it, and three hideously sharp, powerful blades. Apparently he's had it for a very long time, and is very protective of it against strangers.

A notable amount of time later....
In a distant part of the Dusk Wood, the ground begins to shake, as the air around it begins to steadily rise in temperature. A terrible orange-red gash appears in space, hovering a few inches off of the ground. Fetid, burning gas and air pours from the portal, blanketing the surrounding area in a thick miasma of a most infernal disposition.
Yet a few moments later, forms begin to emerge from the portal. Twisted half-humanoid, half-canine beasts spill out in droves, running around the surrounding area. Their orange, glowing eyes search, scanning every conceivable nook and cranny for any sign of intruders, noses checking every scent and trace for past or present foes. A moment later the pack of creatures still, one emitting a shrill roar directed toward the portal.
The portal pulses as if replying, and another pair of creatures emerge from it; vast, almost gigantic hounds, step from the portal, pacing around it and growling at the pack-members assembled before them. The canid-humanoids bow their heads in submission, wordlessly communicating their progress to their overlords. The two hounds sniff, and take up stances beside the portal.
And then; he comes.
The massive figure of Lord Rivadis, Father of Hellhounds and Lord of the Fourth Ring of the Hells, steps out from the portal, footsteps thudding against the ground. He looks over his assembled children, gaze sweeping over the dismal, abandoned forest grounds around them. Rivadis grunts.
"Meh. Mortal worlds. So colorless and bland." He raises a hand, snapping his fingers. A small flame appears in his palm. "Lay the circle foundations and bring what we need here," he says in a distracted tone. "I'm going to go for a walk."
Rivadis begins slowly ambling forward, flame in his hand growing brighter. The two larger hellhounds follow behind at a short distance, the rest of the pack resuming their movements. They run about, clearing small amounts of ground. A few of the creatures dive into the portal and emerge with large bags, beginning to lay lines of white mineral salts in seemingly random configurations around the area.
Rivadis strides forward, walking up a small hill (his sheer size uprooting nearby trees and greenery), his twin guard-hounds following behind. He stops at the top of the hill, looking out over a large portion of the forest.
The hounds are working.

A few minutes later.... The hounds assemble back at the portal, sitting silently around it. One of them inclines their head upward, and barks sharply toward the hill their masters are on. Rivadis' eyes open, and he smiles faintly. "Looks like we can get started." He snaps his fingers again, the flame glowing brightly for a second. A second later, the flame erupts into a massive wall of fire, sweeping over the immediate forest area. The creatures at the portal cringe slightly but are unaffected, as the fire licks through everything else. Trees burn and topple, water dries up and evaporates, and the ground itself bakes and burns as the fire spreads through it. Still smiling, Rivadis walks back to the place where the portal is, waving at the canid creatures. "Very good. The foundation is laid, and all that is missing is the catalyst." He turns his head, orange eyes sweeping over the seared grounds. "Very good indeed." Where before laid rotted trees and despondent ground, with a sprinkling of minerals, now a large symmetric circle of sorts can be seen. The crystals (previously ignited by the fires) still smoulder, their white color traded for a burnt orange-black hue instead. The black canid-creatures assemble in formation around the circle, a few casting the remaining contents of the bags they carried from the portal into the center (or what portion of the elaborate circle can be called the center). Rivadis stands in one part of the larger symbol, outside of the center. "And now-" He raises his hand again, a jet of fire shooting into the center of circle and igniting the fuels there. The center of the circle burns, and magic sears the air itself. The Father of Hellhounds smiles thinly. "Nharkotep, King of the Eleventh Ring, I would have words with you." Rivadis folds his arms behind his back, narrows his eyes.... ...and waits. Nharkotep

The lines of the circle begin to glow a deep brown hue, as the crystals rattle and shake. The sky seems to darken, as a sense of.. Unease, takes over. The hounds would back up in fear, or perhaps bark. A portal opens through the scorched ground, and through it flies a demonic figure. With long, dark wings, bronze golden horns and armor, grey-blue steely skin, and massive talons, the figure snarls, as it flies, flapping it's wings in the air. In one hand it has a long spear, tipped with a green gem. Nharkotep hisses loudly.
"What do you want, Rivadis?"

He apparently believes you and Khorne are trying to overthrow all Eleven Hells and rule the universe....or universes....or multiverse-I was informed you were plotting a rebellion. And since you can't believe everything you hear, and because of my own reasons, I decided to ask you personally." He smiles. The two hellhounds flanking Rivadis growl softly and fall silent, and the hordelings around them shiver and stay quiet.

Nharkotep chuckles. "My brother is a fool, and has been for centuries. Tell me, if I was planning a rebellion, what would you do?" The avian demon taunted, casually flying around the circle. "Kill me? We all know I would put you down like the mutt you are. And do you think that anyone can stand to Khorne?"

"Come now. Do you think I would waste time on something so trivial as "fighting" you? I came with a question, and your defensiveness avails no one. My loyalty lies with whoever can provide me and my children with the optimal hunt." His teeth shine dully, the crystalline lines of the circle sparking once. "Tell me, do you honestly believe you and Khorne can kill our beloved parents, and all the rest of the Lords by yourselves? Do you actually have a reason for this purely theoretical not at all definite rebellion, or is it nothing but a base desire for conquest?"

He hums. "I do think that Khorne could kill the Hellfather, that is a distinct possibility. The rest of the Brimstone Court remains unknown." He replies smoothly. "You're spellcraft is good.. Mine is better." He replied with a sharp smile, teeth glinting, as cracks form in the ground, where the lines were. The crystals rattled violently, before cracks formed in them, as they shattered. "You got it from.. What? Kheroth? That fool was never a true mage. Even that whore of my sister was more of a mage than him."
