Katashima is looking for more players to fill in the void since the departure of some of the key players in our lands, which are still stuck in their humble beginnings. Since it's beginning, what we've wanted the nation to be and represent has been fleshed out, and we now believe it's time to get the ball rolling and move from less of an experimental phase of RP to more of a full time gig.
Katashima is more than just another government group trying to be the dominating power in the Sandbox. This group would like to present a cultural experience to a fantasy roleplay primarily featuring themes representing old European cultures. It exists on an island far from Medan's shores, far enough to geographically isolate it, and trade and travel is few and far between, resulting in cultural isolation as well. Simply put, it exists within a set of conditions that are favorable for the mimicry of Japanese culture.
We are hoping to present this culture within a medieval-fantasy world, but we also want Katashima to become a fairly mature experience. While Katashima will have much of its own uniqueness, this is a haven for those who may enjoy Japanese culture, including those players inspired by anime, but expect that we will be more focus on parallels with the real-world old Japan rather than the pop-anime presentation of it, particularly when it comes to the rigidity of social structure and an emphasis on realism when it comes to the prized martial arts and the samurai class. Here, magic exists but is rare, and many will be superstitious.
We would like to extend an invitation to all the players of the sandbox to join us in creating this experience. If you would like to join us, we can certainly play the "foreigner-to-strange-lands" theme, but it is preferable to create an account for a character native to our lands.

Right now we just need players; a population of gamers' alts that can give some life to the place. But we definitely need help with the government positions--OOC obligations to run our towns, respond to new people, and work with our armed forces. We also need antagonist characters to better mimic the patchwork of Japan's fractured political atmosphere as warlords constantly fought each other and bandits, leading to the rise of a very martial culture.

He has a fair but lightly tanned complexion. The mans eyes still retain a youthfulness to them and his face and frame are a bit fuller, hinting at an easier life.
Clothes and Equipment: Bandon favors simple clothing, a belted tunic, pants, and sturdy boots are his common outfit. He carries a large bag filled with some changes of clothes and other personal items. At his he has two blades belted, a longsword and a dagger.

I will message both of you this evening. I will help with the culture. I hope the process of learning and dispelling myths about old Japan and the samurai class, as well as working that culture into a unique nation within a fantasy world, will be kind of fun and interesting.

I would definetly like to join in somewhere now that Solaria is going to hell due to inactivity from players as well  I could fit in however you need me and ideas to start something up would be welcome im always better when starting in a role that is already into the story if you get what i mean |

Really anywhere you need me. I made this character specifically to help out and I have experience in a lot of areas. I prefer having a small number of NPC's under my command, and would like to get into the occasional fight. Or if your still needing some kind of antagonist I can fill that role. Really I'll can rebuild this guy to fit what ever you need.

Physical Description: The ronin is built heavily, his weight apparent by his earth-shaking steps. His green, foggy eyes are always fixed to whatever is in right of him, making him an intimidating person to talk to. A deep scar runs from his chin to his right ear, partially being covered by his messy, dark hair. The index finger of his right hand has been cut.
Clothes and Equipment: His clothes are unconventional to these parts of Katashima: A heavy fur cloak, Tied with a woollen sash, much like how most people tie their kimonos.
He carries around a traditional bokken, a wooden training sword. His main method of attacking uses coins, three sacred oils, and a style of fighting he developed that utilises the feet as well as the blade.
He sometimes uses a black, lotus-patterned kimono with a gray obi, whenever he needs to visit a court or high society. Then he would also tie his hair back to a chonmage, making his scar more apparent than ever.

Actually, I am Ralf/Konrad/Galaar/Ghor. Not sure where I want to take Guy right now (that's not his real name by the way, just his choice for the moment) but will explore Katashima and get a feel of the land.
I shall be Kenjin.
I'm taking inspiration from Kenshin Uesugi in terms of personality and persona, but as far as ambitions I am looking at the Chinese warrior Xu Huang. Not entirely sure where I want to go, but I know I want to serve for the time being. Any suggestions?

I'd like to volunteer to help flesh out Katashima with more lore and take on the role of some NPCs if at all possible. I am enjoying myself and would like to help others enjoy themselves. We have room and interest to grow.
