The entrance to the palace. Usually only 2 Elite Guards adorn the entrance. Soldiers whose duty it is to protect the king and secondly the Magisters from danger. The two-story double doors are made of a dark, strong hardwood harvested from Aaedan's nothern forests. Silver door rings open outward toward the city streets. A portculis, enegineered and forged by the Aaedanians can be dropped down infront of the wooden doors. The protculis was made of the same dull silver steel as Aaedanian armors.

The two travelers approached the gate, with Bolton in the front.
"I mean he did say the king wanted to meet you, so why not?" Bolton said to the giant behind him.
"I'm thirsty." It replied.
"Nah, we'll get a drink later! C'mon, one fight won't kill you."
"It is a waste of my time."
"Right, right, so get it done quickly and we can go get a drink!"
Bolton walked up to the guards and leaned on the table in front of them with one arm, crossing his legs as he leaned forward.
"Howdy, there, we were told the king wanted to see us. I figured I'd give him a show- a little music to go with my wife beating him senseless."
"I am not your wife!" The giant yelled.
"Not with that attitude!" Bolton yelled back with a grin.
"So howsabout we meet that king of yours and get a little show going for the soldiers, yeah?"

An elderly and frail looking woman with white wispy hair. However, despite being old, her back is not bent by age nor are her eyes clouded by it.

She wears a deep purple robe that has sleeves that extend far beyond her hands. Her hands are covered with fine gloves of black silk and she wears one ring on each, one having a purple stone set in it and the other a piece of onyx. Carrying an ornate cane of orellium, Grandma can use it to increase her magical channeling as well as assist in deflecting others spells with it. The cane itself is black and covered in numerous ornate, but tiny runes. The cap on the cane is a purplish colored gem. On her wrist is a silver bracelet with a ruby in it that Grandma uses for telepathic communication with others in its network.

OOC: No one responded at the outer gate to the city, but I'm going to assume they let me into the city. If not I can change this post.
A black carriage rolls up to the palace gate stopping infront of it. The driver on top jumps off and makes a slight bow to the guards at the gate before saying, "My employer request the privillage of being granted an audience before the king. We do not have an appointment, but still hope the king will have us, we have traveled a rather long way to meet him."
Grandma laughs to herself a bit at her drivers introduction. A bit too formal for her taste, but she figured she should let the man do his job.

The driver nods in appreciation and speaks quietly with Grandma for a second. He then hands the guard a scroll.
"We will be staying at an Inn in this city, the Inns name and location is in the scroll, we would appreciate it if you would send a messenger to notify us of the kings return."
After hearing the guards response, the carriage rattles away down the street.

Ari rode as fast as the faithful steed, Tourmaline, would take her. She sped through the narrow streets of Aaedan, only just avoiding the various people going about their business. Eventually she arrived at what she perceived to be the palace.
Once she was in front of the gates, Ari dismounted and approached the very elite guards.
"I must speak to the king at once." She stated as the young woman reached the ground. "Regarding the war with the Phoenix State."

Some guards passed the word and the King himself opened palace gate. He had scale mail hauberk on over his blue cloths. A cloak made of a lion's pelt across his back. "The war is over. What is it that you need?"

The woman looks over the king for a few seconds.
"I have a proposal for you regarding...hostilities between this realm and the Phoenix State. A continuation, I suppose."
She bows deeply.
"I am Ari. I have journeyed from a distant land to the east, where the sun burns and the night freezes. However, I offer you the possibility of gaining my services as an advisor."
She smiles at this.
"I guarantee you shall not be disappointed with my work. However if you would perhaps like me to prove my worth to you first, I would be happy to oblige to that too.

OOC: Sorry you're not really giving me much to go on here. I assumed the war was still on because I didn't know about the one year time thing. Not to mention wars usually last more than one battle.
Ari smiles and puts her hands on her hips.
"A pre-emptive strike on the Phoenix State. This would allow for the Kingdom of Aaedan to claim vast amounts of gains in a small space of time." She explained to the large man.

The king squinted his eyes, "What you wish me to partake in is a cycle of blood. The Lion and the Phoenix kill eachother. You take scraps from the fighting and bring more blood to your homelands." The king sighed, "Now if you are wanting to take war back to your homeland; I could supply fund, foods, and armorments. You will have to pay me these things back. The men you would need to find on your own. If my men die in foreign soil it is for the Glory of Aaedan, not some eastern barbaric lands that you wish to reclaim." ooc: Aaedan is the eastern most kindgom right now. Either abondon the notions of Aaedan going on a fruitless campaign or leave these lands." The King turned and walked away, leaving the guards to keep the stranger from following him.

Physical Description: Like all Aaedanian natives she is muscularly built but very lean; mostly her shoulders, hips and legs are built up however. Long wavy black hair adorns her upper chest and shoulders.
Her blue eyes seem to glow in low light. When heightened emotions are in play here eyes glow brilliantly and if her pressed with desperation or rage a smoke like aura flows from them.
She stands 5' 9"

In battle she wears a full suite of full black plate. Gold adorns the armor and it is enchanted to be as light as cloth allowing her quick easy movements and high stamina dispite the armor's weight.

Physical Description: Jun is a human adult, standing 5’4”. She is wiry and fit at approximately 120 lbs. She has olive skin, dark brown hair ending just above her shoulders, and slight epicanthic folds over her dark almond eyes. Her face is squarish with a small chin. Her skin is dotted with battle scars, and her left arm is heavily bandaged due to an unknown affliction.
Clothes and Equipment: Jun possesses a vast collection of seeds, herbs, insects, and scrolls hidden in various pouches in her armor. These serve as reagents for her multitude of spells. Her armor consists of a customized, long-coat style gambeson that is stuffed with a matrix of seeds and plant fibers. Fitted on top is a set of brass-like, enchanted half armor (chest piece, pauldrons, and tassets) which gives off a warm aura. She has an open-faced, burgonet style helmet and coif of the same materials.
Her most notable "weapons" are Blackbean and Resonance. Blackbean is an elephant-sized demon crow which has served with Jun for many years as a mount and as a bodyguard. A minor enchantment allows him to disguise himself as a regular crow. Resonance is an azure blue longsword with a mind of his own. He can intercept minor attacks and can teleport to his owner. He can also use a personal reserve of magic to aid in the casting of a single spell.

Jun follows, wielding Resonance and her buckler. She gulps, remembering Ildesias' warning about using too much magic. It was true, magic resulted in a cataclysm for Purge's world.
