Mists his only company

For he is long gone

Ren was the only soul currently present among the empty halls of the Shrine of the Falling Sun. The mists that surrounded the shrine were ever present, shrouding the halls of the Shinigami from those not welcome. It was dawn, yet the sun did not pierce the thick mists that permeated the air. In fact, no matter the time of day the mists remained, their presence as sure as the continued march forward of time itself. Only when the three Shinigami made this place their home, and brought prosperity to the land, would the mists clear.

But that is not this day, Ren thought to himself. The lone figure sat facing the shrine to the Shinigami, deep in meditation.
