Physical Description: Like all of the Kehl-Nari Elves, Emahra is tall and of a slender build, standing at 5'10" and covered in the toned muscles that come from a lifetime of training in the way of the sword. Her skin is fair, and she bears the elegant bone structure and pointed ears of the Elvenkind, that lend her a nearly breathtaking beauty. Her hair is long, falling to mid-thigh when unbound, and is a bright, vivid shade of blue, although she habitually wears it bound back into an intricate plait. Her eyes are a rich, liquid amber-gold that that are, much like her expressive facial features, usually filled with whatever she may be thinking or feeling at that moment. While not amply endowed, like many women, she has a respectably-sized bosom, a trim waist, and shapely hips, accentuated by long, graceful legs.

Clothes and Equipment: Typically, Emahra wears one of two ensembles. The one most commonly seen consists of tight-fitting dark blue breeches that are tucked into a pair of knee-high black leather boots, paired with a black brocade corset, and detached black lace sleeves that cover her arms from just below the shoulder to the base of her fingers, leaving them and her thumbs exposed. All of these items are painstakingly inlaid with runes of protection sewn in magical thread, that make them as strong as armor and spell-resistant. The other outfit is far more casual and lacking in protective enchantments, comprised of a pair of low-slung pants that are tight around the hips and upper thighs, but start to billow out at mid-thigh, to then gather again at the ankle; a sleeveless, midriff-baring top; and a set of comfortable slippers, all made of silky white material that never stains, tears, or wrinkles. These are paired with a sash the same color blue as her hair that she wears wound around her hips. Regardless of her attire, at all times, she wears a slim golden band around her brow that bears a single smooth, teardrop-shaped gem of darkest sapphire; this circlet bears an enchantment similar to the ones inscribed into her normal attire. Whichever set of clothing she isn't wearing at the time makes its home in a plain black pack which she carries, that also houses basic supplies such as a healer's kit and travel rations. She also carries with her at all times the Heirloom Blade of her House, the Blade of Ankiri. Its blade is five feet long, and it bears a hilt of blue leather above a golden crossguard, its pommel inlaid with a deep sapphire blue gem that seems infused with an inner light; at its crossguard is a blue flame, the sigil of House Untyrid. This Blade can be wielded only by one of the blood of House Untyrid, and will burn the hands of anyone else who attempts to wield it, before seeking to return to its owner by whatever means possible. It also has the capability to manipulate the wind and, in trained hands, can create storms of cataclysmic proportions; at the great expense of the one who wields it, it can, under extreme conditions, play with the rules of time.

One of the Elven woman's pointed ears flicked in Naoki's direction as she heard the High Lady's words, and Emahra half-turned to look over her shoulder at her employer. After a moment, this became a full turn, and she tilted her head curiously.
"Do you wish for my continued presence, Lady Naoki?" She cast a quick, semi-mistrustful glance toward Haru, indicating that she was willing to follow Naoki and her new, strange acquaintance, in case the leader of Isra should worry about a potential threat. Emahra was nothing if not dutiful, after all.

Haru tilted his head back and forth in response to Naoki’s words. He thought the hoomans thought far too hard when answering questions, but that was what made them hooman. Deciding he wouldn’t mind riding along in the carriage back to Naoki’s home, at least, he assumed that was where they would be traveling. Haru made his way to the open door of the carriage and leaped inside, tucking his legs up so his feet rested on the seat and his chin rested on his knees. That was the one problem with being in this hooman form, he grew rather chilly sometimes, he supposed that's why they wore clothes. He had been planning to transform back into his usual form, but he couldn’t very well fit inside the carriage as that. No, Haru would simply wait until they reached Naoki’s destination before he returned to his typical form.

Watching quietly, Naoki further quirks her eyebrow as Haru leaps up into the carriage, as he is. The carriage is a good three or four feet off the ground, and that didn’t seem terribly difficult for him. He must possess some manner of flight magics or something to a similar end.
In response to Emahra’s question, Naoki turns to make eye contact and responds, “You know that I enjoy your presence, but if I’ve pulled you away from something I’m not going to ask that you remain, as I sincerely doubt your presence will be required for my safety at this point.”
For a moment, Naoki pauses, and it almost seems as if she’s finished, but then she adds, “I am going to ask for a rematch, however.”
This she says somewhat jokingly, though her intention is quite sober. While waiting for and to Emahra’s response, Naoki moves to mount the ladder extending from the rear of the carriage, presumably with the intention to enter momentarily.

Emahra eyed the agile jump of Haru with a mixture of amusement and curiosity. What an.. interesting being. She would have to keep an eye on that one. When Naoki spoke, however, her attention and line of sight immediately zipped back to the High Lady, and a small smile tilted her lips as she chuckled.
"I think perhaps getting acquainted with your new friend would be better done without my presence. We suspicious types tend to put a damper on such activities. I will, however, gladly agree to a rematch - at your convenience, my lady. Until then, enjoy yourself." She gave Naoki a brisk salute in her manner - fist over heart and a slight bow - then went to untie her mare from the carriage. With the reins in hand, she would watch until the High Lady was safely inside the mode of transport, then mount up and direct her mare back toward the main thoroughfare.

After waving her farewell to Emahra, Naoki continues up the ladder, and into the great iron carriage. Selecting a seat opposite Haru, Naoki seats herself and gestures to one of the cupboards. “There are blankets in there. Help yourself.” Next into the carriage is Jax. He eyes Haru slightly, out of security concern, but turns him back to pull the ladder up, close, and lock the door. After stowing the ladder appropriately off to the one side and eyeballing the both of them, Jax proceeds to the front of the carriage. There, he speaks with Stan, and shortly afterward, the carriage begins to move. <Exit to The Chalet>

More travel worn then ever the three priests arrived at the gate. The bottom of their robes were in tatters and toes stuck from shoes. Dirt covered the three, but was less noticeable given the brown robes. Their faces were gaunt as they had been surviving on roots the past few days. Still the blind priest was not daunted. He still lived and his path stretched onward.
William led his two disciples to the gatekeeper. First he presented a picture of Brother Shaun. "Have you perchance seen this man? We have searched long for him. If not directions to a hospice would be much appreciated."

One of the guards manning the great Northern Gates extended a hand to take the picture, looking closely at the face and thinking back. After a moment of consideration, he passed it to his colleague standing beside it. They looked over it, conferring, before the initial receiver of the picture handed it back to the priest.
"Not as far as we are aware, Brothers. The Good Knight's Rest and the Midnight Sun are the most common inns, and the Moonlight Eclipse is there, too, if you can afford it. Good luck in your search, brothers."
The guards returned to their position of watchfulness after letting the priests go into the city.

A weary evening - the stars were already starting to pop up one after another as the sky deepened to a darker shade of the night and twinkle across the canvas. The last few rays of the day were slowly retreating over the horizon with the casting orb of warmth as it settled to rest.
At a glance, a young man eases his steps to come to a gradual stop - the hand resting easily under the chin of the grey Shire mare that pulled along a worn but simple wagon with a burlap tarp lashed down across the top, and bringing her to stop with him. He showered her in thankful affection with a few pats along her face and stroking her mane. A powerful but beautiful animal, who was a good friend. For the moment, he would wait - the last push of their trek had brought them to the gates of a city. This was certainly farther than the attempt with the Vessian territory, and he was hoping that the guard here would prove to be a little more friendly. With any luck, the officials would also be a bit more accommodating... or at least polite.

Adamar yawned, stretching his arms out overhead to work out the stiffness - getting up from sitting against the wagon wheel helped alot, too. The mare, poor thing, shook her head with a huff - having remained lashed to the cart and standing throughout the night.
All night and not a peep from the guard... odd. He'd waited and waited, thinking that someone would have spoken to him by now. Maybe it was okay to go ahead inside the city? Odd, but lucky. The only drawback was now he had to just wander until he could find someone to point him in the direction of authority and answer for what to do.

Age: Physically early 20's, actually extremely old
Physical Description: Alan is a monster of a man, standing an imposing 198cms tall, he has strong and muscular build.
His muscular body is incredibly pale as if he had never spent a day in the sun. Likewise it is without as much as a scar.
While handsome his appearance is somewhat 'otherworldly', and while the proportions of his face cannot be faulted they fail to have any deviations unlike a typical human face.
His broad jaw is covered in a thick but short beard, neatly kept. His hair and beard are both jet black, his hair being slightly wavy and falling just past his ears.
The most striking feature of his face is his electric blue eyes, the gaze of which can only be described as icy if his mood turns sour.
Over his heart is a silver mark, the shape seems to shift quickly while being looked at, but when caught out of the corner of your eye it appears to be a glyph, maybe a letter or word in some ancient language.
On his back there are two ridges, barely noticeable. These are the only sign of his wings while they are magically sealed/stored. When unsealed his wings are mighty, roughly 210cm each and covered in feathers which are a random assortment of black, white and silver. The exception being a pure gold feather in the middle of each wing.
Clothes and Equipment: Alan only wears a light armor, his jerkin and leggings are mainly supple leather, with some harder bits of leather for reinforcement and to hold the few bits of metal which make up his armor. This odd black metal lines his arms, shoulders, legs and the top of his boots.
The metal on his arms and legs is just a few small strips covering the less protected parts of the legs and arms. It doesn't cross any joints and is there only to give a possibility to either deflect or limit the cutting ability of a blade.
The supple leather is the standard dark brown/black, while the hard leather has an odd red color to it. (Red Kangaroo leather esk)
There are small notches on the back of his jerkin for his wings to come out of.
He carries three weapons.
On his left hip hangs a sword with a slight curve, very similar in style to a nodachi (90cm blade)
On his right is it's brother, styled more similar to a katana (60cm blade.
Both are made of the same black metal as is on his armor, they were forged by Alan himself and during the process of folding the metal had diamond particles (dusted diamond essentially) folded into it. This causes both the blades to sparkle faintly at different angles, it also helps the blades keep their edge.
His last weapon is a massive great-sword (125cm blade), this weapon is highly enchanted and is the only one of his weapons with any magical properties. The enchantments mainly pertain to keeping it in the shape of a sword and the ability to be used as one.
The sword has a hilt of onyx with veins of silver, the handle is wrapped in black leather. From the hilt the veins of silver reach out into the blade up to the very tip, like a thin tree branch. Making up the space between the silver, and forming most of the blade is pure diamond, which is why the blade is so highly enchanted against shattering.
The blade does have one other quality, being that it can be used to hurt things hurt by sunlight, moonlight and silver. The light is dependent on the time of day, but the blade will continue to contain the light for roughly an hour, and can be used to 'inject' the light straight into any cut that connects.(Although not with the same intensity as actual exposure.)

The walls of Isra certainly be were daunting. Randall had heard lots of stories of the free city; nation; empire. Surely, it was more inspiring to behold.
Randall centered himself. This was his first mission as an emissary. The first time leaving his homeland in fact. His credentials in hand he approached a guard and stated his business, "My name is Sir Randall of Drumshelm. The nation of Drumshelm is in a state of civil distress. For the sake of my countrymen I humbly seek to meet with your leader."
Randall hoped he had come off formal enough.

Randall is met at the Northern Gate by the gate’s guards, a motley lot. They watch him approach and listen as Randall speaks his bit.
“Is it?...” says one, never having heard of Drumshelm. His education wasn’t the best in any case; he looks to the guard on his right.
The guard on his right looks over the documentation. “Hhhhmh. Seems fine enough. Nice ‘ancy seal on there - go ahead. Show that to the boys outside The Citadel.”
He gestures through the gate into the city. The Citadel is very obviously visible in the center, presiding proudly over the city.
“It’s the big one,” the guard offers as if such a thing might be unclear.

Physical Description: Alden is 6 even, with shoulder length messy black hair, and several days worth of beard stubble. He is handsome, with a powerful jaw, mid set cheek bones, and a perpetual grin that makes him seem younger than he really is. His bright green eyes, constantly sparkle with barely contained mirth. He has the lithe well muscled body of a swordsmen, and he moves with considerable grace and dexterity.
If one where to take more thorough examination of Alden's eyes they may notice a further detail. Around the outside edge of his iris's there's an intricate series of minuscule grey runes.
Alden rarely removes his shirt, but should someone see him with it off, they would find his body to be covered in scar tissue. Starting from just below his neckline, there is very little space that does not sport some relic of a past injury. A particularly observant person may also note that among these scars, some are a bright scarlet. These scarlet scars form an intricate series of runes hiding among the others.
Those of a more magical bent may be able to decipher the runes in his eyes and on his skin. Identifying them as sigils more commonly found on magical items. The most obvious effect of the runes on his body, are increased speed, strength, and durability.
The runes on his eyes give him the ability to detect magical auras and residue, as well as allowing him to see through low level illusions and glamours. They also maintain his vision regardless of the current light level, and even if there is a sudden shift. His eyes are also capable of dropping into the infrared spectrum in complete darkness.
The rune work on his body enhances his natural strength, speed, endurance, durability, and reflexes to almost super human levels. The effects make him a formidable opponent for most magical creatures though only because they are supplemented by exceptional skill.
This means that all though he is almost super human in a straight contest of strength or speed he would most likely loose to most other magically enhanced humanoids such as vampires or were wolves.
Alden's runes also greatly increase his healing rate allowing him to recover from injuries that would normally take a few months for a person to recover from in a few short weeks. Not only do Alden's runes accelerate healing they also enhance it. A normal persons body will repair itself until it is functioning again then stop, thanks to the runes Alden's body will continues to fix itself until it is in near perfect condition. His healing abilities enhance his already prodigious stamina as it repairs muscle damage and lactic build up and it also increases longevity as he does not accumulate long term damage as most people do.
Finally his body runes provide protection from people attempts to find him magically. Detection spells will be obfuscated their readings on his location being off by about 20 meters. Long distance scrying and tracking spells are only able to narrow down his area to somewhere within a mile radius. It should be noted that these protections can be overcome by someone with sufficient power or ingenuity.
His runes cannot be removed unless they are cut off of his body using an appropriate ritual knife and magic. If the runes are disrupted in any other way they will simply grow back in a few weeks time.
The final thing that only someone versed in rune craft and enchanting would be able to tell is this: The process of these runes being carved into his bodies would have been unbelievably painful. A normal person would have been driven insane or to suicide if they had this happen to them. During the carving process un-directed magical energies would begin to take hold and tear apart your soul. The pain this would not cease until the rune pattern was completed. This means the pain caused would be on a spiritual and physical level of incredible magnitude.

Alden stands just outside the gates of Isra waiting for Jun of the Celadine and Kaylie Imrahil to join him. Naoki had just picked up his children in her gilt carriage and his gaze was affixed on the citadel where they probably were right at that moment. The distant mournful look on his face said he wasn't happy to be going. However, the firm set of his body and jaw said he would go because there was work that needed to be done.

Physical Description: Jun is a human adult, standing 5’4”. She is wiry and fit at approximately 120 lbs. She has olive skin, dark brown hair ending just above her shoulders, and slight epicanthic folds over her dark almond eyes. Her face is squarish with a small chin. Her skin is dotted with battle scars, and her left arm is heavily bandaged due to an unknown affliction.
Clothes and Equipment: Jun possesses a vast collection of seeds, herbs, insects, and scrolls hidden in various pouches in her armor. These serve as reagents for her multitude of spells. Her armor consists of a customized, long-coat style gambeson that is stuffed with a matrix of seeds and plant fibers. Fitted on top is a set of brass-like, enchanted half armor (chest piece, pauldrons, and tassets) which gives off a warm aura. She has an open-faced, burgonet style helmet and coif of the same materials.
Her most notable "weapons" are Blackbean and Resonance. Blackbean is an elephant-sized demon crow which has served with Jun for many years as a mount and as a bodyguard. A minor enchantment allows him to disguise himself as a regular crow. Resonance is an azure blue longsword with a mind of his own. He can intercept minor attacks and can teleport to his owner. He can also use a personal reserve of magic to aid in the casting of a single spell.

"Hey."
Jun's voice called out to Alden from within the shadowy gate tunnel. Her form walked at a steady pace. To her side something emitting a faint blue light bounced at her hip with each step. When she emerged, he would find her wearing simple, unassuming grey robes and a sympathetic smile.
On her shoulder was her renowned sidekick Blackbean, who looked about as battle-ready as a crow could be (he even had a tiny brigandine of his own to boot). Slung to her side was a leather pack which appeared to be filled with packages and some scrolls. Jun had clearly done some prep work before coming here. Most noticeable was the source of the blue light, a lustrous, chrome blue sword which went by the name Resonance.
"So..." Jun knew that Alden had probably been lost in thought while he was waiting, and she understood how emotionally significant this mission was. So it was with some hesitation that she reached into her pack to pull out a small bag.
"I um... I brought snacks." She smiled sheepishly.

Physical Description: Alden is 6 even, with shoulder length messy black hair, and several days worth of beard stubble. He is handsome, with a powerful jaw, mid set cheek bones, and a perpetual grin that makes him seem younger than he really is. His bright green eyes, constantly sparkle with barely contained mirth. He has the lithe well muscled body of a swordsmen, and he moves with considerable grace and dexterity.
If one where to take more thorough examination of Alden's eyes they may notice a further detail. Around the outside edge of his iris's there's an intricate series of minuscule grey runes.
Alden rarely removes his shirt, but should someone see him with it off, they would find his body to be covered in scar tissue. Starting from just below his neckline, there is very little space that does not sport some relic of a past injury. A particularly observant person may also note that among these scars, some are a bright scarlet. These scarlet scars form an intricate series of runes hiding among the others.
Those of a more magical bent may be able to decipher the runes in his eyes and on his skin. Identifying them as sigils more commonly found on magical items. The most obvious effect of the runes on his body, are increased speed, strength, and durability.
The runes on his eyes give him the ability to detect magical auras and residue, as well as allowing him to see through low level illusions and glamours. They also maintain his vision regardless of the current light level, and even if there is a sudden shift. His eyes are also capable of dropping into the infrared spectrum in complete darkness.
The rune work on his body enhances his natural strength, speed, endurance, durability, and reflexes to almost super human levels. The effects make him a formidable opponent for most magical creatures though only because they are supplemented by exceptional skill.
This means that all though he is almost super human in a straight contest of strength or speed he would most likely loose to most other magically enhanced humanoids such as vampires or were wolves.
Alden's runes also greatly increase his healing rate allowing him to recover from injuries that would normally take a few months for a person to recover from in a few short weeks. Not only do Alden's runes accelerate healing they also enhance it. A normal persons body will repair itself until it is functioning again then stop, thanks to the runes Alden's body will continues to fix itself until it is in near perfect condition. His healing abilities enhance his already prodigious stamina as it repairs muscle damage and lactic build up and it also increases longevity as he does not accumulate long term damage as most people do.
Finally his body runes provide protection from people attempts to find him magically. Detection spells will be obfuscated their readings on his location being off by about 20 meters. Long distance scrying and tracking spells are only able to narrow down his area to somewhere within a mile radius. It should be noted that these protections can be overcome by someone with sufficient power or ingenuity.
His runes cannot be removed unless they are cut off of his body using an appropriate ritual knife and magic. If the runes are disrupted in any other way they will simply grow back in a few weeks time.
The final thing that only someone versed in rune craft and enchanting would be able to tell is this: The process of these runes being carved into his bodies would have been unbelievably painful. A normal person would have been driven insane or to suicide if they had this happen to them. During the carving process un-directed magical energies would begin to take hold and tear apart your soul. The pain this would not cease until the rune pattern was completed. This means the pain caused would be on a spiritual and physical level of incredible magnitude.

Alden's attention shifts from the distant Citadel to the figure emerging from the gate. The shadow of the tunnel might have hid the identity of the strangers from others but The High Marshal's eyes could see who it was easily. He smiles at his old friend Jun as she emerges from the tunnel, a smile tinged with a small sadness but still genuine and warm.
The sight of a crow in a little tiny brigandine was enough to get a chuckle from him. He understood that humour could be found in surreal little things like that now, where before he would have just been confused. His attention flicking over her sword for a second, before he averted his eyes. The thing glowed with so much magic that it was painfully bright to him.
"I hope you brought more than just snacks. It's at least a few days walk to where we are going." He says in a light tone before adding in a more serious and genuine one. "Thank you for coming with me Jun."

"Of course. We're friends. It's no trouble. And I do have plenty of food, plus I'm a decent forager. You forget I used to travel a lot before I met Lady Naoki." She reached into the pouch and pulled out some bits of candied fruit for Alden to try. "It just seems appropriate. Call it woman's intuition." She would be rather insistent that he sample a bite.
He would notice it was the same kind of fruit that she had given the children. Gut feelings being hard to explicate, her gesture was meant to remind him of his children, both as a comfort and a symbol for the innocence that he was fighting for, the innocence that his former master had no regard for and would so callously trample on for the sake of weaponizing people.
She didn't want him to forget that this world, with its playful children and candied fruit, was just as real as the horrible place they were about to enter.
"Try the papaya one. Try it! There's plenty for your other volunteer too. Speaking of which, where are they?" She turned to squint into the gate tunnel.

"Did I forget that?" Alden says as he accepts some of the candid fruit and pops it into his mouth chewing thoughtfully. "It's been a while but I don't think I knew you when you were a traveller?" Years had passed since they'd first met and it takes him a minute to shift through his memories to get back to that meeting.
"Remember when we first met? I'd just become High Marshal and you were the first new recruit I met in my office." He pops another piece of candy in into his mouth the papaya one. "Marshal Imrahil should be along shortly he says." Then he rubs his chin. "Anyway, you know what I thought was funny? You were nervous when we first met. Even then I knew you were a powerful mage, capable of doing a lot of damage. But you were nervous about meeting me." He shakes his head and sighs.
"Now it is years later and you don't seem nervous at all, I suppose having one of my kids getting their drool on you ruins the stern Marshal act somewhat doesn't it?" It was odd to think of just how much time had passed and how much their relationship had changed. Just like he had with Naoki he was realizing that Jun wasn't just the one thing he'd thought of her as being, she wasn't just a junior marshal. She was a person his kids loved to play with, a funny bright and energetic woman, and his friend. She had become part of his world, she was part of the reason he was fighting now.
