 Outside of the booming city of Isra are the Festival Grounds where the Prospernalia takes place. A celebration of life and the new year, it is settled right during the Spring Equinox, and harkens not only the coming new year, but also the rebirth of it as well, making it a holiday celebrated by hippies and farmers alike! The festival takes place over five days, with contests happening through out. Festival-goers enjoy flowers everywhere, in the hair of maidens, around the necks of lads, decorating boughs above shop stores and stalls. The festival is begun by crowning  For which anyone in Isra can try to become. With contests such as Archery, Jousting, Horse Racing, and Tug Of war, all walks of life can join in on the festive atmosphere. Hosted by Ganymede Galaii , the Minister of the Arts, it is sure to be an event that will be the talk of the city.... at least until the NEXT festival the Nymph has planned! Mounted on several posts all throughout the grounds is a map to lead people to the food court, the games, and the contests, as well as a list of what events will be happening on what day. Day One

Things to Keep in Mind During the Festival
1.) All posts, save for the ones by Ganymede, should be made in-character! Yes, there is an OOC explanation at the end of every Contest post (and this one!), but it is meant to explain the idea to you, the player! If you have specific questions about the set up or the festival, please message Ganymede directly! 2.) Although dice-rolling is present in the contests, it is not indicative of how terribly a person did. That is to say, rolling a 1 is not an auto-fail, it just means that you’ve rolled the lowest possible number, and it’s highly likely that you’ll have lost. It’s up to you, the player, to determine why your character might have failed, and by what margin. And yes, the dice-rolling is mandatory and cannot be skipped or changed.3.) All contests will open on the same IRL day, but IC, the contests will have opened on the day in their title. If I opened each contest after the last one ended, we’d be roleplaying this festival for weeks! Instead, I will include what “day” of the festival it is that the contests begin. i.e. The Archery Contest – Day 2. This means to you, the player, that the festival had already begun yesterday, and the people are now enjoying their second day into the Prospernalia. 4.) The Prospernalia on this scale is rather ‘new’ but the tradition is not. Isra is new-ish city. It’s only been around for less than a decade. The tradition of celebrating the new year during spring is not a new one, however, and many of the traditions at Prospernalia are old customs. It is the first year that Ganymede has been the Minister, however, so a festival at this scale is a first-time thing. 5.) Please, please, please follow Ganymede, and follow the Announcements board so that you can be kept up-to-date with who has won what! And if you are making a post that might effect something or should draw attention or importance, please feel free to tag Ganymede in the post! 6.) This is Isra. There are guards and safety everywhere, even if you can’t see them. So don’t try to do anything sneaky or dangerous! |

Ganymede's last post down at the bottom lists all who have entered for either King, or Queen, of the contest, along with a short blurb of at-a-glance information. Only characters or NPC accounts that would logically be in Isra (and thus would attend the festival) are allowed to vote. Only one vote for each candidate (i.e., you cannot vote for two queens, or two kings). Votes will be disqualified if they break any of these rules!

Prospernalia's End Feast is Open! The Feast is higher-class than the rest of the casual atmosphere of the festival. Characters will be expected to show up, dressed to impress. There is no schedule, but instead a free-for-all for characters to attend and romance and eat and interact as they will. Specific characters have been invited, and have been appropriately tagged, but that does not mean that they are in attendance until they officially post in.
Please keep in mind that this is the last event of the Prospernalia, so all contests and games will have been done and finished by now! |

The Finals for the Joust are in! Toliver Wulfric vs Raoul Ferdinand, King of Prospernalia Kaine Aislinn vs Chancellor Ryden Greyiron
They tilt now to see who goes to the championship round! Characters who would like to post in watching the jousting are more than welcome to do so.
The Horse Racing Contest has begun and its a riot! All but Kaine Aislinn's horse refused to jump over the first obstacle.
It's much, much too funny to even breathe. Characters who would like to post in watching the racing are more than welcome to do so.
Kaine Aislinn has won the Archery Contest! With it, he won 12 bottles of gold-filigree Rondi wine and 100 gold coins!
The Tug o' War Contest is over! It was split boys versus girls, and the girls won the major prize of 25 gold coins, and a single vial of Sakandi's Fountain-of-Youth Water.
They decided to go again for a prize of 10 gold coins, and this time The boys won and declared that drinks were on them.
Prospernalia's End Feast is still in full swing!
It is a dress-up affair, but all are invited to attend the feast,
rife with dancing, eating, drinking, and merriment.
