A highly experimental farm that takes advantage of the natural growth process of edible lichens. Lichens are capable of growing in otherwise completely unusable solid and porous rock. However, natural lichens are slow growing, and it would take several years to get a useful harvest. As of now there is absolutely no way to create these farms without using magic wards to enhance the lichen's growth speed.
Currently the Guardians of Gaia are researching creating fast growing lichen "kits" to give to any struggling mountain villages.
