Batavia

Batavia is the name given to a region ruled and mostly owned by Baron Andrei die Kraftig . While the owner is a "mere" Baron he holds significantly more land, rules many more people and has almost as many riches as the grandest of nobility elsewhere in the Empire. The people are of the Weimar tribe, the very first in Swavia to become loyal to the Empire. As such they hold near identical traditions, culture and mindsets to the rest of the Imperial folk. It is one of the most Northern regions within Swavia. Instead of undergoing it's own modernisation, it simply uses it's great wealth in natural resources to buy items produced elsewhere in the Empire.
