Sign Up Desk The sign-up desk for the tournament is inside a well appointed single story stone building between the two tournament grounds, with a sign outside proclaiming: PARTICIPANTS REGISTER HERE Inside is a few desks manned by clerks ready to assist participants in signing up for whichever tournament they would like to enter. Once a participant has signed up and paid the entrance fee. One gold for the sport bracket and Ten for the full contact bracket, they are given a ring to signify that they have paid their fees and to restrict their ability to use magic.
The Ring all participants wear: Once they have their rings they are lead into a side room where they will present their weapon(s) to be warded. Once the warding is completed they are awarded a strip of cloth that is to be tied around their bicep, which denotes the tournament they are participating in and that their weapon has been cleared for use in said tournament. Sport bracket participants get a blue strip of cloth: Full contact bracket participants get a red strip of cloth:

Kelly walked up to the registration counter with her blades at her hip.
"I want to sign up for both." She said, picking up a pencil to sign her name. Should she be checked for weapons they would find only two- a main gauche dagger and a matching rapier, both seemingly fortified to be sturdier in combat. The rapier itself was enchanted to provide an anti-magical barrier around her, but would be considered redundant with the wards in place. Her armor was very light, only having a breastplate over her torso and a metal helmet for protection.

Fenris moved behind the bandit-woman sporting a sack of various weapons behind him, slung on his back. His cloak hanging off his frame. "I am signing up for the full contact bracket..." he said with a bit of a nordic accent as he scratched the runes his name composed of on the sheet.
(The weapons he bring includes, One custom Hand-and-Half Krieg-Messer, One custom Langes-messer, One Custom Zweihander, One Bearded Hand-Axe, One Bearded Dane-Axe, And a Viking-Round Shield.)-(He is also equipped with studded leather armor, a metallic and leather set of bracers and shin/knee guards, in addition to his hardened linen cloak which provides minor protection from cutting and piercing attacks.)

The sign-up process for Fenris and @banditkelly is simple and over with very quickly so long as both comply without objection. First, their full names are taken down for the roster, then their tournament fees are collected. The price had been lowered this year to make it more inclusive to all, slashed to one tenth of what it should be. Once the two have paid in full they are each given their participants ring, while this ring is worn they will be incapable of using any supernatural abilities no matter the nature of said abilities. They are advised that they are to wear the rings at all times while on tournament grounds. Next, they are each lead into a side-room where a mage goes over each weapon they will be using in the tournament ensuring that it bears no enchantments. Assuming no trace of magic is found the weapons are then enspelled with the non-lethal ward that will ensure some level of safety during the tournament. They are asked to hand over any additional weapons for storage while on Tournament grounds, they can be picked up if required should the participants wish to leave tournament grounds but cannot be kept. Finally, Kelly is given a blue handkerchief and a red handkerchief, while Fenris is given only a red handkerchief. They are advised to tie these onto their biceps and keep them there for the duration of the tournament. The handkerchiefs are lightly enchanted to indicate that their weapons have been checked and deemed suitable for the competition. Fenris is also advised that while he can keep the cloak, for now, he will have to remove it during his fights as it can be used as an improvised weapon. (If your character has any specific questions you are welcome to ask and they will be addressed individually.)

Physical Description: Tall and lean, with his dark, unkempt hair and dark blue eyes, Raul cuts a striking figure. He has strong, broad shoulders and long limbs, obviously accustomed to hard work.
Clothes and Equipment: He typically wears rough, sturdy clothing, stained with dust from the road, and several days' worth of stubble. Despite this, his equipment is immaculately maintained, the mark of a man that lives and dies by his tools. His primary weapon seems to be a large recurved bow, a composite of horn and wood so powerful that it requires extraordinary strength to string, or even pull. He also carries several harpoons, perhaps for hunting large game. His heavy, scaled armor is woven with protective wards.

Single sword was hardly Raoul's area of expertise, but the price of adding his name to the sport bracket was minimal after deciding to take part in the tourney in the first place, so he went ahead and acquired himself a long rapier in addition to his other gear.
"I will be signing up for both brackets, please." He nodded and marked his name to both lists, presenting his weapons and armor for inspection. For the sport bracket, he offered only the single rapier. For the full-contact bracket, he had brought a pair of long fighting daggers, a longsword, and a halberd, along with the plate armor he intended to wear.

Raoul Ferdinand is accepted into the tournament with the same easy as Fenris and Kelly. Once his fees are paid and his full name put down in the roster he is given his participant ring and the rules surrounding it are explained. Then he is taken into the side room and his gear is inspected for any trace of enchantment, assuming that none was found he would be given his two handkerchiefs and advised to tie them to his bicep, all the same rules apply as covered previously. Also, @banditkelly , is advised that she will either neither to use a replacement rapier provided by the tournament staff or purchase a new one of her own elsewhere. The anti-magic on her own would interfere with the non-lethal wards used on other people's and her own blade not to mention the sealing rings. One of similar make and quality is offered up for her use, though she can find her own if she'd prefer.

Kuro, clad in flowing garments that might be considered exotic or strange to these lands, had arrived from an undisclosed location. A katana and wakizashi were in his sash, and he carried a jumonji yari spear.
"I'd like to sign up for the full contact."

As with the previous competitors, Kuro Issen is asked for his fees, totaling ten gold, and for his full name. Once these are provided he is given his participants ring and told the rules surrounding it, before being led to a side room where his weapons are inspected for enchantment before being warded. Assuming there are no issues with his weapons then he is given his red handkerchief signifying his gear has been approved and advised to tie it on his bicep.

Assuming he made it to the tournament grounds, Asger would take this time to examine the competition. There was one person in particular that Asger needed to get a message to...That person was here. As Asger approached the registration desk he deftly slipped a note in the person's pocket. 'A' couldn't make. But I am just as good a man as he. The message was innocent enough if discovered and would probably be misconstrued if not read by the intended recipient. "I would like to sign up for the tournament." Alfher said to the receptionist.

"Which bracket are you looking to join." Would be the response Asger would be met with when he made his statement. The two brackets of the tourney have different rules and entrance fees meant he'd need to be more specific. If he wishes to join the full contact bracket he'd be required to pay ten gold and provide a list of all weapons he intends to use. If he wishes to join the sport bracket it is only a single gold and he must present the single sword he will be using following the guidelines set under the rules post of that bracket.

After switching her personal rapier for a similar enough replacement, Kelly walked back past the sign up table to see the other contestants. Each one seemed to have their own weapons preferences and combat styles. Asger especially caught her attention due to his spear and shield combo. She passed by him before heading out the door to wait for the actual competition.

"I am mostly interested in full contact, but if the sports bracket is only one gold, why not? I'll be using my spear and shield. Thing is, I don't have a sword at the moment." Asger presented his sword and shield for warding. As the warding took place he examined the other contestant's weapons. Two of them used rapier's and one...had 5 different weapons and a shield? Asger raised an eyebrow and wondered if the warrior would be equipping them all at once. Two of the contestants had armor. Asger wondered what the purpose of that was if all the weapons were be warded. Asger used armor in combat but would not do so in a 1v1 duel where speed was of importance. Initially, it was the man with the katana that katana that Asger pegged as the most competent foe.
As he left, Asger noticed a young woman examining his weapons. "You seem quite young. Will you be competing in just the full contact?

She shook her head.
"Both. I want that ring and that plot of land." She replied. "Luckily I'll have them by the end of this competition."

Asger is advised that he will have to acquire his own sword prior to the start of the sport tournament or be disqualified. he loaner weapons were only made available to those with enchanted weapons as it was assumed most would come back for their weapons and they kept the sword they used during the tournament instead of retrieving their enchanted blade, well The Kingdom would profit from their sale. The Kingdom was already eating enough of a cost with the low entrance fee so handing out swords for free wasn't in the cards, that's bureaucracy for you. Anyway just like with everyone else Asger is given his participants ring, his weapons are warded and he is given his red handkerchief. He will not be awarded his blue until he presents the sword he will be using in the sports bracket.

Fenris looked at the competition. Kelly he knew, he saw the man with the Katana, and his gaze lingered upon him for a moment as his eyes observed the foreign yet familiar blade. He then noted the man with the spear and shield, the most efficient weapon combo, he was happy he had brought his axes. No he did not intend to equip them all at once, he intended to play it by ear. He approached Kelly since he knew her, and took the opportunity to look at Asger. "Where do you hail from friend?" he asked.

"Where do you hail from friend?" he asked. "The mainland. Mountains north of Medan, well, Meridian now." Asger responded, "The political tension got too thick so I took a vacation. My name is Asger. It seems you two already know each other?" Asger offered to shake Fenris's hand. Upon further inspection, Asger could not discover much about the ax wielder. That in itself suggested he was an experienced warrior. Also, the man seemed to be interested in learning about the other competitors. Asger would remember to keep an eye on this one.

He gave a rather hardy hand-shake and Asger might notice the blade featured more prominently on his hip. Axes were more of a hobby. "I see, sorry I am not to familiar with the goings on with these lands, but hopefully this will prove an interesting divergence for you eh?"

Fenris seemed to shrug and make a dismissive gesture. "Ehhh It's hard to say in this tongue I think... Perhaps you might say I hail from North-Wind, will that suffice eh?" he asked giving a fanged grin framed by that robust beard. "It seems we have a long time to wait, let us drink!" he said procuring a canteen of mead, the fermented drink was certainly an aquired tasted. he took a drought and then offered it to Kelly then Asger.

"Pak," Asger thanked the man in his own tongue, suspecting the two might share more in common than he thought. He put the canteen to his lips but only pretended to drink. Asger sidled closer to Fenris as he handed the flask back, "What do you think about those two." Asger tilted his head towards Kuro Issen and Raoul Ferdinand.
