Located between the South and East gates, this reasidenical area like all residencial areas are filled with white marble apartments and houses, a park or two and even a theatre.

Like the other residential districts, the civillians of Aaefan wandered through the streets. They had donned their personal armors and weapons. This district was almost completely abandoned by the undead.

<Enter from Northeast Residencies>
Raynor and anyone who decided to join him would march into the Southeast Residencies. Although their seemed to be very few undead, Raynor did not trust the silence and expected a trap.
Their original force was 100 Falconers, 6 earth titans, 50 Knights of the Harvest, 20 mounted mages, 20 mounted archers, two psionic corp members, and Raynor himself (3600 NPC count + PC).
Their casualties would most likely be minimal given their strategy, though it would be unreasonable to expect that they were at full strength. They were definitely down a psionic corp member. Most likely an earth titan, several knights, and a few archers and mounted mages will have fallen in battle. A few falconers may have fallen too.
Raynor, the falconers, and the mounted mages immediately began to charge mana. They were not taking any chances. The mounted archers would immediately begin sniping any enemies they saw. The earth titans would once again lead the charge and take the brunt of any ambush.

With hardly any resistance, Raynor's forces would, under constant paranoia, snipe and strike at any undead they did find. Apparently this wouldn't take long... When the fight was over, Raynor and his men would, cautiously, exit the area and work their way around the city and back towers the front lines. They could only pray they didn't miss something terrible. <Exit to Undead Fortifications>

They were hiding in previously cleared out areas. Raynor would soon see a massive force of undead crawling out of any sewer accesses on the streets of the city. The man would quickly find himself surrounded by about 1,000 undead. Sewer dwellers... the criminals and homeless of Aaedan. Not even they were safe from the killing haze.

A thousand undead seemed like much, but given that their force had manage to slaughter 10,000 (with some assistance of course) just moments earlier, this was a simple matter. Using the mana they had charged, Raynor re-enchanced the Knights of the Harvest into fiery melee guardians, the Falconers re-deployed their fiery hawks to dive bomb the creatures, and the mages fired flaming volleys of spells into the undead ranks. The earth titans completely covered some of the sewer entrances, the archers shot off limbs and skulls to slow any spare undead with their rapid-firing short bows, and the remaining psionic corp member kept everyone calm and coordinated. If none of this was enough, Raynor would deploy Aegon 's device to protect them.

A thousand undead rose and they fell. A raging inferno of magics and immolation arrows destroyed them quick and clean, none even got close enough to harm Raynor's forces.
Alas, another thousand rose from the sewers and charged the soldiers that killed their kin.

As the battle progressed, Raynor and his remaining psionic companion guided their forces into a ring formation in an section of street with no openings to the sewers inside their line.
The remaining earth titans would form a pentagon and stomp and crush undead. Just outside the pentagon, fiery birds of prey would dive bomb and release bursts of flame against the undead. The Knights of the Harvest would line the inside of the pentagon, using their magically enhanced fiery weapons to strike any undead that somehow managed to get through. The archers would do their best to shoot outside and inside their perimeter, slowing down more undead stray undead, and the mounted mages would gather their strength for a more powerful attack (Charge 1).
The effects of the Mystic Traveler's artifact might persist for a little while longer.

Though the magic of the orb seemed to have no effect, its nature would be revealed when first of the undead hit the line of titans. Their attacks would not touch the their targets but repel them. Should enough attacks hit the same target the magic would explode outward, the attackers being repelled. After that however the magic would take time to reform.

The undead that rose once again fell at the might of Raynor's forces and their brilliant formations. No more came out of the sewers as the rain came to a halt. Those that were not felled actually ran to them to escape.

The Traveler arrived just as the last of the undead ran for the sewers. Speaking to Raynor broke his maintained invisibility, "I seem to have missed the fighting..." He stuck his hand out and looked up to the sky, "The rain has stopped my friend, I think the 3rd Legion has proven victorious at the city's center." He took the hand he had held out to feel for rain and reached out toward Raynor. The artifact he had left Raynor quickly floated back to the traveler. "Did she do you well?"

Raynor nodded. "Very, and so did you. Songs will be sung of our triumphs today, friend."
One of Raynor's troops, a young man, spoke up. "You got a name and place you hang out? Or are you just gonna disappear on us?"
A falconer, a young woman, also raised her hand. "You're welcome to our lands any time."
A Knight of the Harvest saluted the traveler. "It's obvious you didn't have to help us. You're an honorable one."
Finally, an archer woman spoke. "You know, I never used to like the Aaedanians, but you, you're all right. I'm sorry about your homeland. I hope we can help you rebuild someday."
Raynor chuckled warmy. "Seems you've made quite a few fans."

"Songs?" The traveler thought for a moment... It had been too long since he had fought beside others. Too long he had wandered alone. He smirked beneath his hood "I hope their good, and good to drink to."
As Raynor's forces spoke to him he responded in kind. To the Trooper, "I had a name once, I can't remember it sadly, "he lowered his hood revealing his face to people for the first time in decades, "Perhaps its time I get another, what do you think of... Aegon?"
To the Falconer, "I'll remember your invitation."
To the Knight of the Harvest, "I thank you for your words, you and your brothers-in-arms were just as brave and honorable to stand against the undead. Especially in a land that is not your own."
To the archer, "I hope you and your people can rebuild Aaedan. That rain poisoned the land. It could be years before the land can grow seed. I don't think Aaedan will survive as a nation that long. But your heart is well placed, may it remain so."
Finally the traveler nodded to Raynor, "Aye it seems I have. We should rally at the Plaza, no doubt the palace is the next step here."
