Robert walks in, dressed as sharply as ever. In one hand is a clipboard, something he's taken to carrying around nowadays. So much more professional-looking than writing notes to himself on his hand. In the other is his redheaded assistant Amethyst.
"Ah...hello there, Giplor. How's it going? What've we got this time? I do hope you know that the next shipment of south sea black pearls is going to be delayed, and that the price for striped bear skins has skyrocketed."

The Phoenix State Marine Force is wanting an order of 15,000 Black Locust logs. They want prime wood. They're also wanting an order of Platinum that weighs four tons. Lots of ship nails... Yeah, it's stuff to build some fancy boats...
This is good. Robert, do you have any connection to Ivelian Anti Magic technology? They want as much as you can get.
Says here, if you can accomplish this order in a timely order that they have something else ready."

"The Ivelians aren't trading right now for some reason. I dunno why. Hmm...I should be able to get a hold of the logs and the platinum, though. Could you put in the order, Amy? Get it form the northerners, they've got a surplus right now. And the nails can be produced domestically."
He jots something down on the clipboard.
"Anything else? Because if not, I need to talk to some striped bear hunters."

A month had passed and Giplor decided to see what all had been imported so far for the order. While he're he looked at the other stuff in the warehouse. Giplor loved the business and money that Robert had brought in and he knew he made a good decision.
"Robert, you around? Need an update on the order." He shouted over the ruckus in the warehouse that the workers made.
