Elizabeth Finch
Main Character
Roleplay posts: 512
Age: 29
Physical Description: Elizabeth, or Liz, stands at about 5'9", weighing in at about 160lbs, most of it muscle from years of riding and fighting. She has platinum blonde hair, usually tied in a ponytail to fit inside her helmet. Her eyes are a vibrant shade of green that contrasts well with her tanned skin. She would be considered attractive if she ever removed her armor, otherwise her face is the only indication that underneath the iron discipline and plate armor is an attractive woman.
Clothes and Equipment: Liz wears a normal looking set of plate armor that is custom fitted for her specifically, and does not hide her gender. She wields a lance when mounted. Javelins are carried in her mounts saddle. Her mount is a young Griffin by the name of St. George, he is full grown in height, but does not yet have the full mass of a adult griffin. She wears plain clothes when not in armor and her shield bears the symbol of the Dawn Riders on it, and her breastplate bears the symbol of Isra on it. She wears a small necklace with a purple gemstone on it underneath her breastplate, only visible when she she is unarmored. Her sword has the insignia of the midnight sun engraved in the hilt, as it is relatively out of sight and does not violate the military dress code. Her primary weapon is her sword, an ancient Elven artifact passed down by her bloodline. It is wreathed in green lightning when unsheathed and wielded by her, and she has a sunmetal shield that complements it with magical abilities of its own.

Liz followed along as well, a grin of her own on her face at Naoki's eager manner. Once Liz was no longer being pulled by Naoki, she would disentangle her hand from Naoki's, as she objected slightly to being pulled along like a child.

Lord Tristian Seryl
Dedicated
Roleplay posts: 210
Age: 37
Physical Description: At 6'1", Tristian is tall and broad-shouldered, with a lean but muscled form. His features are chiseled and aristocratic, set with dark brown eyes and framed by shoulder-length brown hair; he does occasionally grow a beard and mustache, but most frequently, he is seen to be clean-shaven. Very little about him stands out, aside from his handsome features - he has a few scars gained during the flight from Medan, but few of them are visible to the casual observer, being hidden by his everyday attire.
------------------------------
Clothes and Equipment: As a nobleman, Tristian typically wears well-made tunics, breeches, and boots in a variety of colors, but as a practical man, he abhors silk - most of his clothes are simply made of fine, but sturdy, wool, though he does indulge in fur-lined gloves and cloaks in winter. On rare occasions, mostly just important state functions (given he is the head of the Black Tower) he can be seen wearing a full set of blue and gold plate armor, emblazoned with his family crest of the gryphon head. A lot of the time, Tristian carries with him his family's heirloom sword, and he always wears a golden signet ring with the Seryl family crest - he also wears a signet ring with the crest of the Black Tower, which allows him to maintain telepathic contact with his operatives.

Age: 17
Physical Description: Quite tall at 6'1, Hansel has a pale complexion coupled with nearly white blonde hair and a set of heterochromatic eyes. His boyish features are well defined but covered in many small scars. The young man's frame is best described as sinewy with significant muscle placed upon a relatively thin body. Across his body one would find many cosmetics scars, brands and a few tattoos be it of scripture or strange tribal symbolism. However most noticeable are the two large wings on either shoulder blade, and the cross on his chest and back crossing his breast from stomach to neck.
Clothes and Equipment: Typically Hans will wear a bodyglove of buunvar leather, over which is blessed chainmail and plate. His preferred weapon is a moderately sized Executioner's sword of Hagbane silver with the end rounded and sharpened to at least pierce flesh. However for sidearms he carries a powerful longbow and an ensemble of Holy falchion and dagger.
The lad also will usually possess a mount; either a blessed horse, pegasus or hyppogryph. The beast will always carry heavy barding and bears a lance and kite shield for its rider.

After waiting for his papers to be processed in the valley pass, the lad finally made it to Travere. Everything was so alien to him! He could deal with the melting pot of Isra, and the homogenous population in Audria, but a homogenous Gauldin people? He was getting a headache already. He wondered why the sister of a Queen would just own a small store. Shrugging, he would ride into Travere proper unless stopped. He thought of going to the palace to ask about, but he reckoned he would be kicked out and laughed at, so it was a last resort.

Blank made good time on the road to Travére , despite the crude directions he was given. Traveling in Gauldin seemed to be quite simple, as it turned out, due to the overall good quality of the roads and posted signs. Blank was able to figure it out easily enough, and now before him stood the city in all its glory.
When he first caught sight of it on the horizon he had to pause to take in the city's magnificence and the closer he got the more impressed he became. Blank would seem like any other tourist as he made his way across the bridge marveling at the architecture of the city, albeit a somewhat travel-worn one. He had all the necessary travel papers though, and would get through into the city easily enough. The main thing on his mind now though is what he would do once he entered the city. He figured the first thing he should do is establish a source of income.
He had learned that money was supremely important in helping someone live comfortably, or even live at all as it could buy things such as shelter, food and water, as well as other things he would like to have.

Zero had much to take in about Gauldin thus far, what with things such as buildings and other people. He had never seen such things in his young age, and he didn't have any idea what to think of them. Either way, they seemed friendly enough.
He had chosen a road to follow along and it had eventually led him to Travere, by pure chance of course. Zero would attempt to walk over the bridge and into the city. He seemed harmless enough, just a shirtless man wearing some pants. He would walk into the city proper through the open gates if unimpeded.

The gates to the city lay open and Zero was able to walk right up to them without any issue. However, as he steps underneath them a noise sounds and a faint luminous red glow surrounds his body. The guards who stood along the periphery of the gate move forward harsh voices sounding in Gauldish and the common tongue, the meaning clear in both. "Halt where you are." The crowd parts around Zero leaving him in a calm spot that is soon filled with men in the blue and yellow of the city guard.

Zero would halt immediately, though he only did so because of the luminous red glow.
"I'm glowing?! That's pretty neat," he thought aloud. His attention would soon be grabbed by the guards approaching, and he waved to them in greeting.
"Oh, hello there. What do you want?" he asked, an inquisitive look coming over his features.

The guards look at the man who seemed quite oblivious to the situation he was in. In brief, by crossing over the mountains instead of through the pass he had failed to acquire travel papers. Well, he could roam the Gauldish countryside rather easily without them, the localized detection wards on the city gate had sounded the alarm when he'd tried to pass through. "Get on your knees." One of the guards says in a thick accent as the men fan out, one holding a pair of shackles. Travel without papers was not by itself a severe offense but since it usually portended more sinister motivations and possible crimes they were being cautious.

Zero seemed to grow a bit confused then, the men were acting quite differently from how all the other people he had met were acting. They seemed a bit more nervous, he would say.
Still he would listen to them, "Okay," he said, before going to his knees. He would wait expectantly then on his knees to see what they would do.

Once Zero is on his knees the guard with the shackles descends, slapping the irons around the man's wrists and behind his back. This done he is unceremoniously dragged to his feet and hauled off to the nearby guard station where he is thrown into a cell. There Zero would be left to wait for several hours until a figure in the black and silver trimmed robes of a military mage appears to question the young man. The figure is male, of average height with a lean build, bald head, hawkish noise, and stern icy blue eyes.

Zero would move along with them, looking around as they led him to the cell. He seemed to be quite interested in the scenery.
Even when he was put in the cell, he found the room to be quite interesting, though this wouldn't last very long. The shackles he would find to not be very comfortable for very long either. He eventually had an itch on his nose, so he would instinctively reach to scratch it and... snap.
The broken shackles would fall to the floor, leaving him more than a bit confused. Then he grew a bit worried, would they be angry that he broke them? Either way, he got to scratch his nose.
The mage would find Zero taking a nap when he walked into the cell, though Zero wouldn't wake up from the sound of his entrance.

The mage looks at the broken shackles and the sleeping man then with a sigh, he steps out and triggers the antimagic runes on the cell. It appears as though the men had not been thorough in their examination of the prisoner if they hadn't noticed he evidently had magically enhanced strength. This done the mage grabs a bucket of cold water and throws it through the bars onto the prisoner.

Zero would be startled awake by the water, and would seem a bit annoyed afterwards.
"Man, did you have to wake me like that?" he asked, a bit irritated. He would get up, shaking a bit of water off and walking up to the mage on the other side of the bars.
"Have you come to let me out? It's getting pretty boring here."

"Are you stupid or ignorant?" The mage asks eying the man through the bars his expression hard and unyielding. "Do you not understand that you have been placed under arrest?" Zero may well be irritated but the mage didn't seem to care, while the general populous of Gauldin was friendly, the military tended not to be. Indeed, they tended to be quite harsh when dealing with foreigners who broke Gauldish law.
