Perhaps she was getting used to the climate, or perhaps it was Brunn's liquor in her system. Whatever it was, Roxanne didn't feel nearly as cold as she'd been when she first stepped off the boat. As she walked up the road, she wondered what the name Skulhoy meant. It sounded a little spooky, but she was sure that it meant something pleasant in the local language. She looked around, wondering what sort of place this "Skulhoy" really was. Gilbert had said that she'd be able to find some work here, so maybe there were abundant monsters, or adventures to be had. Roxanne hoped so. She didn't want to get stuck catching stray dogs for her whole time here.
