Taingaard is abundant with game and any decent hunter has their own preferable places to go hunt. Whether it's rabbit, deer or bear the skillful hunter knows his or her hunting grounds inside out, though one must always remember, that nature is the only true master out here and can be both a cruel and giving one.

@asta
Ásta would face a choice when she left Leifheim, either she would journey north where the greatest chance of finding bears were, although they were generally fiercer too and the weather worse, or she would go south into Deepwood, a place that may have fewer bears but was a more familiar hunting ground.

Indeed, it was a hard choice. The bear was in high demanded for that damned wedding, but any hasty motion to go north in hopes of finding one quickly might result in finding more than one or something more angry - risking weather conditions, too. All three dogs were trotting along beside her, darting ahead and over thick and uplifted roots and brush and sharp little hills only to come running back - yipping occasionally in excitement as they tagged along. She led the hauling horse along by his reins, opting not to tire it out with carrying herself.
She sighed as she mulled it over a bit more, and finally decided. Her hand came up to run over her face, her brow, and over the top of her head as she exhaled slowly and heavily. A tug would bring the large creature alongside her as she turned to head north, whistling for her three canine companions to ensure they followed along and didn't stray far.

Opting for the way north Ásta, her dogs and the horse would soon find the weather becoming slightly cooler, however the temperature hadn't dipped to a level where it threatened to freeze - yet. Passing right around Skulhøy but left at Lake Thornwood would see her approach a more densely forested area where bears were usually not that hard to find if you knew how to track them.
Indeed one would look for broken branches, rubbed off bark on trees from where the bear would scratch itself, tracks and even its manure - a basic skill for any hunter but actually applying it with success was another thing altogether. Well trained dogs might even catch the scent of one if they where close by or from any trees they had been in contact with.
