~ Throughout the land there are weathered posters on various noticeboards, posts and walls which read as follows;
"I, Lord Farand of Stonewall, hereby request aid from any and all able bodied adventurers. We are but a small, fledgling state struggling to cling on to our existence among the ruins of the old world. While my men are stout of heart and strong of arm we lack the resources and capabilities to deal with the threat which we currently face. It comes down to I, Lord Farand, as the leader of my people, to call for aid from the adventurers of the land in the hope that they may tip the tide of battle in our favor so that my people and I may settle these broken lands peacefully. For those who's interests have been peaked I can promise you payment in gold, titles, land and other worldly possessions should you prove to be a valuable asset to our cause along with the respect and hearts of my people should we overcome our foe. "

This is to be the first of many Stories/Campaigns/Plots for those with a thirst for adventure with a nice strong D&D approach to the play by post medium.
- This is going to be a low magic story. If your character has strong magical powers and/or magical items they will not be allowed to participate in this adventure. If you have minor magical abilities and/or feel strongly that you wish to join this event PM me so we can discuss your powers with the end goal of finding an acceptable medium including limitations and effects of your powers.
- If your interested reply below out of character. When enough people have replied to show interest I will post the starting topic in the Overworld.
- Only apply if you intend to remain active and see the story through; It will be fairly lengthy. However I do understand there are sometimes unavoidable circumstances and as such I will be adding a mechanic for working around absences. By replying below you agree to this mechanic which will essentially involve your character phasing in and out of existence according to your activity with a myriad of random effect possible. Any from sustaining wounds from battling demons on a different plane to forgetting what happened the past couple of days.
- I would encourage creating new, well thought out and detailed characters for this as they almost definitely will face countless perils and dangerous.

Physical Description: Kazue is a Kitsune spirit. Many people find them as being tricksters and pranksters.
Even though she can change appearances she usually shows herself a blond woman with golden eyes, dressed in a soft red kimono with golden details. Her six tails and a pair of ears is visible as well and strawberryblond in colour.

Physical Description: Alden is 6 even, with shoulder length messy black hair, and several days worth of beard stubble. He is handsome, with a powerful jaw, mid set cheek bones, and a perpetual grin that makes him seem younger than he really is. His bright green eyes, constantly sparkle with barely contained mirth. He has the lithe well muscled body of a swordsmen, and he moves with considerable grace and dexterity.
If one where to take more thorough examination of Alden's eyes they may notice a further detail. Around the outside edge of his iris's there's an intricate series of minuscule grey runes.
Alden rarely removes his shirt, but should someone see him with it off, they would find his body to be covered in scar tissue. Starting from just below his neckline, there is very little space that does not sport some relic of a past injury. A particularly observant person may also note that among these scars, some are a bright scarlet. These scarlet scars form an intricate series of runes hiding among the others.
Those of a more magical bent may be able to decipher the runes in his eyes and on his skin. Identifying them as sigils more commonly found on magical items. The most obvious effect of the runes on his body, are increased speed, strength, and durability.
The runes on his eyes give him the ability to detect magical auras and residue, as well as allowing him to see through low level illusions and glamours. They also maintain his vision regardless of the current light level, and even if there is a sudden shift. His eyes are also capable of dropping into the infrared spectrum in complete darkness.
The rune work on his body enhances his natural strength, speed, endurance, durability, and reflexes to almost super human levels. The effects make him a formidable opponent for most magical creatures though only because they are supplemented by exceptional skill.
This means that all though he is almost super human in a straight contest of strength or speed he would most likely loose to most other magically enhanced humanoids such as vampires or were wolves.
Alden's runes also greatly increase his healing rate allowing him to recover from injuries that would normally take a few months for a person to recover from in a few short weeks. Not only do Alden's runes accelerate healing they also enhance it. A normal persons body will repair itself until it is functioning again then stop, thanks to the runes Alden's body will continues to fix itself until it is in near perfect condition. His healing abilities enhance his already prodigious stamina as it repairs muscle damage and lactic build up and it also increases longevity as he does not accumulate long term damage as most people do.
Finally his body runes provide protection from people attempts to find him magically. Detection spells will be obfuscated their readings on his location being off by about 20 meters. Long distance scrying and tracking spells are only able to narrow down his area to somewhere within a mile radius. It should be noted that these protections can be overcome by someone with sufficient power or ingenuity.
His runes cannot be removed unless they are cut off of his body using an appropriate ritual knife and magic. If the runes are disrupted in any other way they will simply grow back in a few weeks time.
The final thing that only someone versed in rune craft and enchanting would be able to tell is this: The process of these runes being carved into his bodies would have been unbelievably painful. A normal person would have been driven insane or to suicide if they had this happen to them. During the carving process un-directed magical energies would begin to take hold and tear apart your soul. The pain this would not cease until the rune pattern was completed. This means the pain caused would be on a spiritual and physical level of incredible magnitude.

Physical Description: Romulus stands about 5'10 in height, with a slender but strong build. His skin is fair and he has blue eyes much like his sister, or rather has a blue eye. His otherwise handsome young features are marred by a jagged scar running along the left side of his face, and he is also missing his left eye, which was destroyed the same time he received the scar on his face. The scar is very prominent, the pink ugly flesh seemed to draw more attention than the rest of his features.
Like all the Fletchers he has white hair, which is of medium length and seems to be styled in a spiky sort of fashion, but this is in fact natural. He is often wearing a mask covering the lower portion of his face.
Clothes and Equipment: Being a mercenary, Romulus does have to travel quite a bit, and cannot carry much with him. For this reason his combat gear has to be functional, but also comfortable, as it will be what he travels in and wears day in, day out. His clothes is made up of leather armor, lined with chain-mail in the most vital places, but otherwise the armor is mostly leather. The leather is black, and conceals the mail for the most part, and it is well fitted and padded to prevent any jingling of the mail. The color along with the padding makes the armor more useful for stealth as well. Over all of this Romulus typically wears a grey cloak, a simple garment that appears to be tattered from travel but it does it's job in shielding him from whatever elements he would encounter.
Under his cloak at his left hip he carries a longsword. The blade is about 35 in. (90 cm.) long, on the shorter side for a longsword, but the grip is still of average length for a long sword. The characteristics of the weapon make it highly versatile, with the grip offering enough length for powerful cuts with two hands, but the blade is short enough to be wielded with one hand, if the need arises. Romulus also carries with him a small hand crossbow, useful for medium to short distance engagements. He favors the weapon for it's relative low skill requirement and effectiveness, but he cannot keep the crossbow strung at all times, so if he is surprise attack he would have to use his sword. He also carries a pair of daggers sheathed at his belt with his sword. These knives are balanced for throwing in addition to their uses in very close quarters.

Physical Description: Rena is a centaur. Her horse body has pure white fur with black socks around the feet. Her tail is a bright red, matching her own hair. Two ram horns protruding from her head, curving around her scalp and then back up and she had yellow-amber eyes.

Clothes and Equipment: She doesn't wear much clothing. She cloth bodice that covers her front and belt-like part that goes around her hips where her horsebody starts. This is where she can hold her coin and keep her axe.
Her weapon of choice is a big battleaxe. Rena is known for how quick she is and uses her speed to easily run down and kill her enemies. Of course she is also very fond of trampling or kicking her enemies.
She also has a bow with a small amount of arrows in a quiver.
