In one area of the festival, the smell of food entices the air, mixing with the scent of all the fresh flowers to be found at the Prospernalia. At one such booth at the Food Court sells massive Turkey Legs, sold by the handsome (and totally not an ex-criminal) Lloyd Frankenfurterberg. Turkey Legs - 3 Silver Each

Farrah swept up to the booth, easy laughter and conversation on her lips as she waited in line with @totallynotadragon for their chance to get themselves a turkey leg.
Slow roasted, lightly seasoned with a garlic herb braise, it made Farrah's mouth water. She didn't order for herself, however. Draga had said that she was paying, and usually that meant that the person paying was also the person that did the ordering. Farrah easily bounced on the heels of her boots as she looked around at everyone else, idly swinging her hobby horses back and forth.
"So, Draga, been in Isra long?" Farrah asked, her accent slipping into the way she said the city name, but otherwise non-existent on her words.

Bringing two plates filled with multiple wings, each seasoned and fresh off the grill, Draga placed them in front of her and Farrah. Grabbing a wing, she opened her mouth incredibly wide. From the perspective of anyone watching, it looked like she was attempting to swallow the thing whole. At that moment, Farrah asked her question and she closed her mouth to answer.
"Oh! Uh...I don't live here, actually." She said as she picked pieces of the turkey to eat, "I'm actually from the mountains. I come down to visit every once in a while but I never miss this festival. What about you?"

"I've moved around so much, I'm not even sure I remember where I started," the Sparrow said with a laugh. When @totallynotadragon returned with the plate of Turkey Goodness, Sparrow's mouth immediately watered and her silver eyes grew round. Mmmm~ She took the plate in her hands, and then had no problem at all crossing her booted ankles and dropping to sit down on the lush green grass near-ish to the Turkey Leg stand. She balanced the plate in the cradle of her legs, then set the hobby horse and her wooden sword by her side. An ornate flask bounced around by her hip, hanging from the belt slung around her waist where a coin purse and another pouch were situated as well. Pushing her sleeves up her trim arms, the SParrow then lifted up the huge Turkey Leg and bit into it. A dreamy sigh fled her lips as she enjoyed the flavorful meat, then she looked at Draga. "Never miss a festival, hm? Is it always this big?" the Sparrow asked as she ate. (OOC: No, it's not always this big. THe festival is this big because of Ganymede Galaii , and Empress Naoki who hired the medieval-celebrity to be the new minister of arts for Isra)

She swallowed the massive bite she had taken from half a turkey leg and shook her head.
"Not that I recall. No idea why, but it's definitely a lot larger. I take it you're not used to this many humans in one place?"

The Sparrow had just been leaning in to take another massive bite of Turkey Leg... when Draga's phrasing caught the woman's attention. Details were the Sparrow's forte, and that was the second time that Draga called them 'humans' instead of 'people.' After all, didn't Draga look like a human, too?
But the Sparrow smiled. "I'm used to humans. And crowds. I just tend to keep to myself and not speak to many people." She bit into the leg and chewed on it, famished and hungry and totally aware that one Turkey Leg was not going to cut it. She ate like a bird -- which is to say, a bird easily eats 3 times its bodyweight in a day. Why humans decided to mean that eating like a bird meant eating very little was odd to the SParrow, once she'd heard the phrase used.
"So far, so good, however," the SParrow further teased Draga, accompanying it with a wink.

Draga tensed up as she realized she let 'Human' slip instead of 'people'. As Farrah spoke, however, she eased up and surmised she missed it. Seeing Farrah eat was relaxing to Draga. Little known fact, although she had shrunk herself down to blend in with others, Draga still had her normal appetite. At her normal size, a palty 5 turkey legs wouldn't qualify as a snack to her. The way Farrah ate, it made her think she wasn't actually human either....the incredible strength shown at the hammer game made her think Farrah was actually a dragon in disguise! Had she met another of her kind? What an amazing coincidence out of the thousands of people at this event, it was another dragon that Draga had fallen for. Farrah winking at her was all Draga needed, causing her to shift herself closer to Farrah as the two continued to devour enough food to feed a village.
"Yeah, you being here definitely made this day great." She say before taking another bite. After swallowing she continued to speak.
"I don't really talk to too many people either...it can get a bit lonely at my ca-caaaaaaabin. Cabin. Not many people up there. I had thought of moving into the city proper, but...."

The Sparrow laughed at Draga's compliment, noting how the fellow blonde shifted closer to her. "You only say that because I won you the dragon," she teased, her silver eyes sparkling with her good humor. The juice and seasoning of the turkey leg seemed to make the Sparrow's lips gleam, and indeed, some grease was even smeared near her cheeks and chin. It was hard NOt to get messy eating this particular food, especially the way that Sparrow and Draga were devouring it.
The Sparrow also caught the almost-slip on the cave, but chose to ignore it, for now. Instead, she bit into the turkey leg, her focus on Draga, and then spoke from around her food. "Buuuuut...?"

Draga's smile slowly started to fade as she looked down to her meal. For the first time since Farrah met her, she had stopped eating. It passed soon after, but the impact was there.
"...uh, well, I just can't find a place near soil, you know?" She said, laughing weakly, "I'm not a city girl at heart, I guess. Love the outdoors, the mountains, anything with large rocks and caves. I always feel comfortable walking barefoot on the beach than I am in the city. This place is all stone, but it doesn't feel....natural, y'know?"
She chewed for a bit, looking a bit nervous as she did so, before swallowing again.
"Hey, uh....can...can I ask you something?"

The Sparrow noticed the change in Draga, the girl usually full of sunshines and smiles, or adorable pouting and tantrums. Either way, she was usually a girl full of verve, and it panged Sparrow a little that something she'd said had caused Draga to feel down.
Still, she felt awkward reaching out to touch her or pat her because both of her hands were slicked with grease and food from holding the turkey legs. "I know what you mean," the Sparrow said, genuinely understanding it. She always felt better up in the sky... or really just, UP. She was not a grounded person like Draga seemed to be.
"Sure," the Sparrow said, biting into the leg and ripping off more meat, giving a slight, audible sigh at how good it was. "They need to have the Festival all year just for these," the Sparrow suggested.

"Dragons...?" she asked from around the turkey leg, and took a moment to really look at Draga. She undoubtedly didn't know it, but the Sparrow had extensive experience with dragons -- including dragons that could change into humanoid shapes. Yet, Draga was a sweet girl, and her question seemed important, so the Sparrow set what little remained of her turkey leg back onto her plate and reached for some napkins to wipe off her hands and her face.
She swallowed down all the turkey before she spoke, so her mouth could be clear, even if her silver gaze was on the task of cleaning up her fingers, fingernails, and mouth and chin and cheeks. "Well," she said, as she gathered her wits about her. "Dragons have been some of the worst creatures I have ever encountered, slaughtering entire villages, entire cities, entire... civilizations."
There was a bit of an edge on her voice, but she took a breath, and then lifted her lashes so she could look at Draga. "But, as of recently, I have come into contact with a few dragons who seemed to challenge that. They journeyed with me on a quest, and protected me. I would not say that we are friends, still, but they helped me to see that not all dragons are beasts of annihilation."
Her head tipped to the side, blonde hair swaying over her naked shoulders, bright flowers still nestled around the crown of her head. "Why do you ask?"

Nope, definitely not a dragon.
Draga's eyes opened wide as they darted back and forth, as if hiding something. Her tense posture and frozen hands gave way to her nervousness at that moment.
"...uh, well....let's say I may know a dragon who would probably like to meet you....someday. What, uh...what would you say to that?"

"Mmmmmmhm!" The Sparrow said as she sat back. "As I thought," the woman added on. Not that she'd totally thought it, but it helped to have Draga admit it. Something had been unique about Draga, but the Sparrow was content to play it off like she'd known all along.
"That means, then, that you have much to prove to me if we are to be friends," the Sparrow went on to tell the suddenly blushing and bashful dragon girl with her. She ate the last of her turkey leg, then pushed the plate off her lap and came to stand, wiping her fingers off on a napkin. She offered her hand to Draga to help the dragon-girl up onto her feet. "-- With a drinking game."
In truth, the Sparrow was not sure how to take this information, or what it really meant. She would need more time to think about it, but like most birds, she could distract in one direction while protecting something more valuable in another. Her silver eyes gleamed with the mischief that might be afoot, at odds with the pretty flowers in her hair.

Draga looked up to Farrah in amazement, surprised that she'd be alright with the reveal. Generally humans ran from her in terror or tried to hold a knife to her throat. Then again, this woman didn't seem like a normal human...
She smiled as she grabbed Farrah's hand, pulling herself up and wiping her hands on the hem of her dress.
"I'll take you up on that." She said proudly, pointing to herself with her thumb, "No one can outdo me when it comes to ale!"

It was the least she could do. Attending the festival, wandering and taking in the festivities on her lonesome, this was the sort of thing she may have done on her own anyways. But now that she was a Sun Marshal, she felt just that much more pressure to attend... yet it didn't make her any less of a social recluse. Any friends she had to hang out with in the old arena were no longer a part of her life... but the turkey leg? Someone watching her devour this thing might become convinced that, for the time being, it was the only part of her life she cared about.

"Lamina Manira!" Hands gripped onto her shoulders and turned the young girl around, turkey leg or not, so that Lamina was forced to behold the magnificence that was Ganymede. She wore a pant suit with a plunging neckline and clingy material, gold accenting her body, her multi-colored hair waving around her, and there was definitely a magic going on about Ganymede, as if everyone around her had received a boost to their serotonin levels.
Happiness, and joy, and the desire for diversion and pleasure were spiked in those near her, and she turned her dazzling, sunshine smile onto her. The celebrity -- known for her parties, known for her presence -- was fawning over the fourteen year old. In the olden days, Ganymede would have greeted Lamina with a lip-lock, but she had since become aware that it was not kosher for someone as 'young' (ha) as Lamina to be indulging in such thrills.
"I am such a fan," Ganymede said to her, putting a hand to the wide strip of bare skin that ran down her breasts, showing off the tender, supple swells. "You are Sun Marshal, no? You will join the Queen of Prospernalia pageant, no?"
