In one area of the festival, there is much laughter and good-nature shouting as festival-goers pick up games of chance and skill. One of these booths is a game of fishing, where the young lad behind has a clever gleam in his eye and a quicksilver smile. He has one large, wide barrel set up, ten fish of ten different colors swimming within, enchanted with numbers in gold on their sides. The Chancers are given a mini-fishing pole and are bade to wait until the right fish catches on to the baited end. Get the right fish, win a prize!
If a Chancer happens to catch the Number 3 Fish, they win a Prospernalia Day Crown. the Number 5 Fish, they win a Prospernalia Day Tankard. the Number 7 fish, they win a Prospernalia Wooden Sword. If a Chancer gets any other number, they get nothing! The Cost is 2 Silvers a Try!

Festival Game posts are not DM'd, so it's up to the players to roll the dice. For this particular game, roll a d10 and see what prize you win!

"Farrah" came up to the stand with @totallynotadragon with her. She reached for a small pouch that was tied to the leather belt tossed around her hips and held out two silver coins to try.
"Crown first, then dragon," Farrah said to Draga, as the game-runner handed over the fishing pole. Laughing still, she took her place at the stand and dipped the fishing line in, watching the water ripple with the brightly-colored and numbered fish inside... waiting for the right one to grab before she jerked it up and out of the water!

Draga watched her pull up the fish, only to see it was a false number. She snickered to herself and placed money on the counter for her own line.
"Let me show you how it's done, honey." She said smugly.
Casting it into the water, she stuck her tongue out due to concentration before pulling back at the slightest nibble.

Pulling up a normal fish, Draga blushed a little.
"....that was a practice cast." She quickly said.1d10

Farrah scoffed at Draga's laughter, then handed her the fishing pole as @totallynotadragon then stepped up to play.
When Draga pulled up a fish with no prize, Farrah laughed at her in turn. "Ha! Maybe your bad luck will be my good luck," she reasoned, knowing it made absolutely no sense and stepped forward to pay another 2 silver.
She took the fishing pole, and tried once again, aiming to try and catch the fish she needed!

"Noice!" She grunted, patting Farrah on the back. She plopped more coin down and recasted.
"Lemme try again, we'll get that crown this time!" She said as she quickly pulled the line in.

She laughed with loud delight as she pulled a fish. It wasn't a crown, of course, but she smiled all the same as she was handed a wooden sword, flowers emblazoned on one side along with the information of Prospernalia and the dates.
She posed with the sword, for which @totallynotadragon complimented her. "You try, again, then," Farrah said, gesturing to the fishing pole as she slide her sword to anchor at her hip, her belt keeping it close to her.
The blonde foreigner waited to see what happened, and then laughed hard when Draga pulled up nothing. "You have the worst luck!" Farrah said, teasing her new-found friend. Shaking her head, she pulled out two more silver coins. "Alright, one more time, and then we'll try our luck at another game."
She took the pole, cast it into the barrel, and yanked!

Draga let out a booing sound.
"Awww, lame....This game's rigged, let's come back later." She said, looking towards the hammer game. She grabbed Farrah's had right as she collected her wooden sword and dragged her with a surprisingly high amount of strength.
"Dragon plushie time! Let's go!" She cheered as she ran with Farrah in hand. (Exit to hammer game)

TdtOID5U1-10Roy walked up to the fishing game, candy apple in hand. This looked like fun, and he'd always enjoyed fishing. He'd never been very good at it, but it was fun regardless. He turned to his cousin, beaming.
"Let's try this, Roxanne! You like fishing, don't you?"
He handed the fishing-stand boy four silver pieces, for himself and Roxanne.
"Which ones are we trying to catch again? Three, five, and seven? Shouldn't be too hard, should it?"1-10

Roxanne followed Roy to the fishing booth. She liked fishing as well, but she'd never been as into it as her brother or cousin. Still, the game looked like fun. She laughed as Roy pulled up the wrong fish, which stared judgementally at the two of them.
"That's too bad for you, Roy. Watch me, this is how you catch a fish properly."
She took the miniature fishing rod from him and stepped up to the barrel, dipping it in the water.
"Heeere fishy fishy fishy..."

Roy sighed as neither he nor his cousin won anything. Oh well, he liked fishing anyways. Perhaps he'd win something at another booth. He chewed on his candy apple and wandered off towards another booth. Fishing in streams and rivers was more fun, in any case. Perhaps he'd go try to catch something later.

Kelmaer Iridien
Established
Roleplay posts: 31
Age: Primordial.
Physical Description: Physical Appearance:
Kelmaer Iridien is a tall, bipedal male closely resembling a human but with several noticeable differences. The first is the colour of his skin; a dim blue, resembling a sky where night has not yet fully fallen yet dashed with a hint of purple. When exposed to sufficient lighting, Kelmaer's skin brightens with a white tinge that leaves him a light slate blue.
His second contrast are the three pairs of dark, dangerously sharp horns that exit his skull at various places; the first pair are the smallest, located just above his knife-tipped ears and follow them straight backwards so that their sharpened points are aimed to his rear. The second pair are the largest and located further up his scalp, their roots located where the front of the skull joins the side and like the first pair of horns they grow backwards over his head, yet this time with a curve. The third pair are medium-sized, located further inwards than the second pair with their base at the top of his forehead. These curve outwards and slightly to the side as they grow up towards the sky.
Other than these two main dissimilarities, Kelmaer looks related to both human and elf-kind, with a similar anatomical structure that suggests all three groups share a common ancestor. Kelmaer himself is a somewhat slender man, with very little body fat and a clear muscle definition that has been toned by some form of training or natural muscle mass. He is also tall, with angular facial features that are all-but flawless except a small scar above his right eyebrow. His eyes are a little on the small side with a golden iris colour and though slightly interrupted by his horns, his long and dark blue hair is able to grow down past his shoulders.
Clothes and Equipment: Clothing and Equipment:
Though Kelmaer has very little issue in showing off his form, he often wears clothing to cover himself until considered modest. His most common items of clothing include a long, dark cloak that opens like a coat and is padded with leather on the inside and rimmed at the neck by fur. Though he tends not to wear anything under the coat on his torso, he does wear trousers that are similarly padded with leather for a little extra protection. Despite this apparent preference to avoid true metal armour, his forearms, hands, calves and feet are covered by vambraces, gauntlets , greaves and sabatons respectively; all of which have a spiked motif to match the horns on his head.
At his hips, a leather belt with attached straps connects to a pair of long blades with slightly curved edges and a satchel filled with strange flasks.

Kelmaer found himself at the fishing game next. One try, he told himself, then no matter the outcome he would go off and find himself a hefty meal to fill his empty stomach. He moved closer to the barrel and the game, giving his coin to the manager and taking the offered rod in his hand. He hadn't been fishing for... In fact, had Kelmaer ever been fishing? His memory eluded him, but he imagined it couldn't be too difficult, could it?
He closed his eyes, then slowly lowered the end of his rod into the barrel and left the rest entirely up to lady luck.

Kelmaer sighed! Yet again he hadn't won a prize, but he supposed at least he had actually managed to catch a fish. He handed the rod back and let the fish go back in the barrel, only to step away from the game and let out a long, drawn-out yawn. Slowly, he made his way back over towards the food courts.

Bella skipped up to the next game with @banditkelly and her plush dragon in tow, laughing merrily and waving to the gathered people. “What do we do here, then? Try to fish up the right numbers?” She watched the other people play for a while, calling out useless advice and cheering when one anyone got a prize.
When her turn came up, she paid for her rod and dipped the bait into the water, trailing it around the barrel and trying to get it to the proper fish. She laughed and tried to jerk the bait away from the wrong fish, calling out encouragement as if the fish were competing instead of her.
“You can do it! Come on, Number Three, you’re almost there! Watch it! Go, go, go!” i1DxOyNk1-10 1-10

Despite her best efforts to pull the bait away, it was a different fish that grabbed the lure. Just as she yanked it away from Ten, Two made a sudden swerve and the game was settled. Bella pulled on her line, lifting the fish from the water with a bright smile.
“Look, Kelly! I got one!” Bella laughed and pointed to the fish on the end of her line as if that was the contest and the number on the side of it just a meaningless trifle. For whatever reason, whether it was the festival, or the enchantment, or some combination, the dwarf was in an even better than usual, and even losing at several games in a row didn’t seem capable of dampening her spirits.
After returning the fishing rod to let the next person have a try, Bella was off again, skipping away towards the Ale Garden.

Prospernalia's End Feast is Open! The Feast is higher-class than the rest of the casual atmosphere of the festival. Characters will be expected to show up, dressed to impress. There is no schedule, but instead a free-for-all for characters to attend and romance and eat and interact as they will. Specific characters have been invited, and have been appropriately tagged, but that does not mean that they are in attendance until they officially post in.
Please keep in mind that this is the last event of the Prospernalia, so all contests and games will have been done and finished by now!
Back to the regularly scheduled contest and roleplay.

Eilagwen approached the game and watched as others did it a few times. She understood the mechanics and found them unfair. The way the water and the scales gleamed on the fish, it would be hard to know if you were getting the right one. Still, she supposed that it was all meant for fun.
She stepped forward and paid her price for three tries. The way her luck had been going with the contests, it was entirely plausible that she'd get nothing.

Of course, she lost twice... but she also won a flower crown. It charmed her, but there was no tip of the corner of her lips to indicate she was happy. If anyone was looking, however, they'd see a warmer gleam to her meadow-green eyes.
She nodded to the game runner, then settled the crown around her head and moved on to the next game.
