The massive river running from the Balerno Mountain Lake, snaking over the land towards the west to break into smaller rivers and finally having them touch the sea. A massive bridge has been built over a thinner part of this large river, allowing easy passage to the other side and to a few small villages that stand near the forest.

@helmfirth
Marschall Henke, after securing Niska Woods, now leads a similar force to the Padstow River and Bridge. The bridge will be an important strategic location, as well as an economic one. Travelers in the land must pay a small tax, as is common in trade, which will fund the Erstonian Order's crusade in Helmfirth. Any army attempting to cross the Padstow River must first cross this bridge, which will be guarded by the Order's warriors.
Henke orders his men, consisting of 100 Sergeants, 100 Crossbowmen, 5 Clerics, 5 Knight Brothers, and 40 Halbruders to establish a camp on their side of the bridge. They begin to patrol the surrounding area looking for ne'er-do-wells and vagabonds - or any potential enemies. Wood from Niska is used to start building watch towers and fortifications on their side of the bridge.

Marschall HenkeThere was little in regards to bandits and vagabonds out this farm from the port city - mostly bustling villages that make their way on their own and amongst each other rather than answering to a larger state or person of authority. The arrival of the soldiers in general caused a bit of a stirring panic, making many flee into their homes and shut their doors to try and protect their families and meager fortunes of the home. But assuming things were reduced to the point of greedy pillaging from the Crusaders, things might be smooth in construction of an outpost and fort around the bridge and the villages nestled at either end. Though, upon trekking northward over the bridge it would be clear the largest village of Acrine had a visitor of a sort, in the form of a massive blue dragon before it shrank down and vanished from such an easy viewpoint.

Henke would have seen this great, blue dragon, known as Jarkoopi, Kepesk Altiui . He rubbed his beard in contemplation, and assured his men they were safe and to continue working. In the meantime the Marschall had sent couriers to the small villages to inform them they were safe, and that the Crusaders posed no threat. In fact, the Crusaders wanted to help the people. "What will you do?" one of the Knight-Brothers approached Henke. "About the dragon, I mean." Henke sighed, "I'm not gonna risk it. We can't afford to have all of our work here burned away. We will approach the matter diplomatically, and only when the opportunity presents itself."
