A horrifying place even by the standards of Airedale - a towering and sprawling dark castle out of a nightmare. The place is broken into a number of sections for a number of housing and training tasks within the walls - the halls and rooms generally massive in size to accommodate the warden's own.
Part of the facility is nothing more than a seemingly endless hall of chambers - each fitted with a number of torturous devices meant to break and destroy the wills of those unfortunate enough to be dragged within. The halls are never quiet as the cries and screams of the tormented ring out day and night, voices begging for mercy. And the dark cells beneath this part of the castle house those that haven't died - or those yet to begin their training.
A major hold of the castle in the heart of the building is built to house more unfortunate souls - but more of the prison variety. But this does not exclude them from receiving a similar, if not worse, fate than those locked up for slavery purposes.
There is also a large facility in the castle that is for the animals of the military and other purposes - to train the new breeds caught wild or those bred from the existing stock available. There is also a closed and bolted area beneath this section that houses a very carefully maintained collection of exotic creatures.

There has been a change.
Lady Chataya Crowley has opted to retire for reasons only known to her, and has taken to vanishing from the public face. Only her brother might know where she has taken to, but it's apparent that there was a mutual understanding - that is all that High Lady Lucile will divulge in regards to the former Warden.
Fortunately, someone has risen to fill the position in the prison facility as well as the empty seat in the Covenant aristocracy. She goes by the name of Nessoria, an Arachne with just as much a stern and cruel streak as the former Warden, if not more so. She is also in charge of maintaining Lady Chataya's personal animal collection to the highest standard, and continues to expand on it in her spare time.
In order to accommodate for the Warden's physique there are currently a number of construction modifications in progress throughout the facility, though this seems not to hinder the place's purpose in the slightest.

Jun of the Celadine, Jarkoopi, Kepesk AltiuiThe dragon would be guided carefully through the streets as to avoid having issues with him accidentally stepping on anything or anyone, right up to the massive, looming gates of black steel that opened up to the menacing castle that was the facility of the Warden. The giants that guarded the bolted gates, two massive Minotaurs armed to the teeth and adorn in dangerous spikes and steel additions to their horns and bodies, huffed and bellowed menacingly before shoving the doors open to allow them inside. Once they were inside the gates would scream and groan as they were forced to shut again. A lanky looking troll hobbled down the wide stone steps leading into the building and skid to a halt before the skeleton soldiers. "What's this, what's this?" he grunted, peering up and down at the dragon and the human in his claw. One of the soldiers grunted and stabbed the stones beneath his boots with the staff of his pike, making the wiry little thing squeak and move a little further away. Trolls irked him in their little devious, annoying mannerisms. "Someone wants to speak with the Warden." "Oh, do they? Hm-hmmmm, and what is this someone's name? HMM?!"

Physical Description: Jun is a human adult, standing 5’4”. She is wiry and fit at approximately 120 lbs. She has olive skin, dark brown hair ending just above her shoulders, and slight epicanthic folds over her dark almond eyes. Her face is squarish with a small chin. Her skin is dotted with battle scars, and her left arm is heavily bandaged due to an unknown affliction.
Clothes and Equipment: Jun possesses a vast collection of seeds, herbs, insects, and scrolls hidden in various pouches in her armor. These serve as reagents for her multitude of spells. Her armor consists of a customized, long-coat style gambeson that is stuffed with a matrix of seeds and plant fibers. Fitted on top is a set of brass-like, enchanted half armor (chest piece, pauldrons, and tassets) which gives off a warm aura. She has an open-faced, burgonet style helmet and coif of the same materials.
Her most notable "weapons" are Blackbean and Resonance. Blackbean is an elephant-sized demon crow which has served with Jun for many years as a mount and as a bodyguard. A minor enchantment allows him to disguise himself as a regular crow. Resonance is an azure blue longsword with a mind of his own. He can intercept minor attacks and can teleport to his owner. He can also use a personal reserve of magic to aid in the casting of a single spell.

She could tell by the dark themed, almost garish ironworks that this entire society was not one to be trifled with. Between the skeletal soldiers and the minotaurs, she wondered if there was an ordinary human for miles that wasn't enslaved or a necromancer.
She looked agape and rooted in place; she was only half acting. Regardless of how much magical energy she had stored in her "cuffs", she couldn't help feel intimidated by the massive sapient creatures in front of her.
The troll, however, was a reasonable change of pace. At least not everything here was a mythical battle in its own right. She even wanted to say "This is what someone who bathes looks like" when the troll asked what this was, but she decided against it.
Once again she tried to avoid eye-contact. She kept her shoulders hunched in a docile manner while waiting for Jarkoopi to speak.

Jarkoopi, Kepesk Altiui would occasionally have to duck his head of curled horns down every now and then, however most of the city could fit someone of his size. He noted all the rather large and magical beasts present, and those accommodations made to the city for them. The puny troll walked down the stairs and then shouted a question in a mostly aggressive tone. The black dragon cocked his snout towards the little mortal beneath him. “My name is Alrein, wer Vutha. Her name, is ‘None of your Business.’”He was concerned that they may know of the Land Tillers, and giving out her real name might give them away. He’d give her this moment to develop a ‘false name’ should they continue asking.

Jun of the Celadine , Jarkoopi, Kepesk Altiui The troll cringed away from the massive monster as it leaned in, and stated the name with that booming voice. Muttering to himself, he glanced amongst those present before scurrying off back up the stairs and into the facility. It would only be a few minutes before the wide, towering doors under the rounded arch atop the steps opened once more and someone came forth. She stood menacingly tall on 8 powerful spider legs - each plated in armor that shone with a very stark sheen. Her form was one part horrifying and one part lovely - the woman half graced with elegance and proportions appeasing to the eye of man while her Arachne half was limber but huge, creepy in view but clearly powerful. All 8 legs worked in tandem to bring her in a fluid motion down the steps and before the two soldiers - and the dragon and human woman, whom received her careful eye for a few quiet moments. She smiled sweetly, though it was anything but kind. A subtle hiss sounded from the faintly moving fangs just before her hips. "My lady," spoke one of the soldiers, "this is Alrein, wer Vutha. He wished to speak with you." "Really, now?" she purred, looking the dragon directly in the eye as she nodded her head in a form of greeting while folding her pointed hands before her lap. "Whatever about?"

So this was the target huh?
Jun recoiled slightly. Having gotten deep into the mindset of someone frail and vulnerable, she felt herself cower. She almost wanted to hide behind the dragon when the arachnoid descended. Also why was the creature so well-endowed? Really? Did baby arachnoids drink milk too?
She wasn't jealous... honest.
As it purred and addressed "All Reign" (every dragon's fantasy presumably), she mustered a somewhat defiant look, like a cornered animal that wasn't ready to go down. She also kept her "cuffs" lowered as a sign to Jarkoopi that she wasn't ready to strike the creature down just yet. They needed to learn more about this place first.

"Whatever about?" He wished Jun of the Celadine was ready, not to say he didn’t have an idea to distract the spider woman, but his sense of vulnerability. He didn’t like sneaky plans like this, he felt very unsafe with somemany around him and in close proximity, knowing that when they started fighting, they’d already on top of him. Technically, with a well placed crunch of his jaws he could likely sever the Warden’s head, but if he missed nothing would stop her from driving one of her spider-like legs into his eye sockets or other parts of his face, nor would the minions be stopped from rushing beneath him and striking at his underside. Him winning this, relied on Jun. Again. The dragon slightly bowed his head towards the Arachne woman. “My lady, I wanted to first come talk to you about the lands near your city. I was told that you alone do not run the city and must come before a council, but I wanted to inform you immediately about it before I went before them.”The dragon allowed a long pause, giving Jun a gentle shake, not for emphasis, but to do whatever she had planned, soon. “It appeared to me after a few years that one of my lairs that is near the mountain range seems to be very close to your city, and after a while I had seen folk from here wander around on what I would’ve called ‘my land.’ I explored the source further and realized the complexity and strength of this civilization and wished to come forth to announce to your people and more importantly your troops that it appeared that I owned a part of your territory without and wanted to hash out an official boundary line by coming before the council. The reason I’m meeting here now, with you, is I hoped you would have the authority to keep people away from my lair until the council addresses the matter.”It was a clear and faulty lie, but all it needed to do was give Jun time. If she didn’t start the fight, he’d do it himself.

Jun of the Celadine, Jarkoopi, Kepesk AltiuiA very puzzled expression settled upon the Arachne's expression as she pondered his words for a few moments. Her legs eased and lowered her closer to the ground in a relaxed manner as she became a little more comfortable. "Mmm... a land dragon, I'm guessing. The mountains aren't particularly close to the city. Well, I can't say I'm terribly familiar with territories within Airedale, but this is something you should speak with Lady Elinlia - she is Trade Overseer and also well versed in civil matters. She would be able to give you more direction, and certainly make a request of the council on your behalf."

Jun was now genuinely sweating.
I get it Jark we're supposed to be vaporizing her!
This was no good. Even though by now she had enough mana to level half a castle, she couldn't just turn her into orange goo without finding out more. The arachnid might simply be working for someone else, and killing her might not be the secret to saving Achrine Village. But if she didn't do something she knew Jarkoopi would begin the fight.
"Why?" She muttered haplessly. But her next words would come off a mix of pleading and furious. "What gives you oversized monsters the right to enslave and harass people like this!?"
Her eyes flicked to Jarkoopi as she stepped forward slightly, expecting him to "restrain" her. As he did, he would sense a sudden build up of invisible mana around her shoulders and arms. Her spell was on a hair trigger. Any suspicous movement or inkling of anti-magic would set her off like a bomb.
Come on. Just one more clue damn it. Elinlia. That's a start.

Nessoria slowly tipped her head down to look upon the human offering that was blurting out. She was used to this. Her demeanor never shifted, and her composure remained flawless.
"This is the way of things," was the only answer given. Her attention would return to the dragon, smiling sweetly - though it was a bit cruel. She couldn't help it. "Where did you find this one, by the way?" she asked, making a minor gesture of her hand at the human captive. "A visitor of Alnwick or somewhere in the south? I can feel the arcana coming from her - that's not particularly common around here, though very unique. Useful."

Uh oh.Had the Warden been himself in that position, he would’ve killed Jun. Luckily for her it seemed this Warden was tolerant enough to not strike her and get mad at her current “master.” He gently squeezed Jun, careful enough not to set her off, but enough jerk her back onto to their original plan. Shoot. Her. Now.Nessoria slowly tipped her head down to look upon the human offering that was blurting out. She was used to this. Her demeanor never shifted, and her composure remained flawless. However the Arachnea looked at him and smiled, giving him a question to answer instead of attacking. “A mage wandering along broken path near my lair, I sensed her presence due to her aura.” The dragon replied. He was tempted to say she was from the Land Tillers, but he didn’t want give away real names of places or people, should Jun for whatever reason not blast her away this very instant, otherwise Jarkoopi, Kepesk Altiui is going-to-be-very-pissed-at-Jun-for-a-bit.

The way of things, huh? She supposed that would have to do.
Nessoria would have about a second to spot something curious at her feet. For the briefest of moments the stone would have a slight cyan hue to it. It was so faint she might scarcely recognize the source until it was too late. Even if she had the presence of mind to spot the slight shadows being cast by her arachnid legs, she would still have to turn around to see the faint orb of light, the strength of a candle light. And even if she did, could she sense that a cloud of positively charged air was forming around it in time to-
Bzzt -HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
The arcs of electricty that leaped and writhed from Jun's fingertips were eerily silent compared to a full on thunderbolt. They seemed to deftly cleave the air apart with a consistent thrumming sound. The crackling and sputtering would only begin once the arcs did their work on Nessoria. The rapid heating of the moist flesh beneath her exoskeleton would cause bubbles to burst and steam to squeal from in between the cracks of her carapace. The arcs of course only wanted to get from Jun to the cloud in front of her, but it just so happened that Nessoria would be in the way.
Jarkoopi would be advised to blink lest he injure his sight against Nessoria's illuminated body.
Of course, if the attack was successful, her suffering would be minimal. She'd be dead almost instantly.
Jun's "restraints" would whither and slip off her wrists, and her body, overcharged with mana, would bend the air around her in a mirage of power.

Jun of the Celadine , Jarkoopi, Kepesk Altiui It wasn't the lights or the shadows, however faint, to alert Nessoria. It was the feeling of the charged air, and having a far too familiar sense of it. Instinctively her foremost legs and hindmost would rise up in a prayer curl while the remaining middle four spread out for support along the ground. The first arcs of power that surged forth would latch to the forelegs like electricity drawn to a lightning rod and dance and light and crack and hum as it was nulled out rather than finding the source that was situated behind the Arachne herself. The sheer power of the magicks was enough to send the two undead spear men flying off the staircase in a number of bony pieces and bits of armor - wondering what in the hell had just happened as their skulls bounced along the pavement in dumbfounded amazement. The display brought around the attention of the Minotaur guards, who stormed through the gates roaring in a fury - what in the world was going on?! High up along the towering structures of the facility there was much movement - like watching the moving walls of a beehive with the entirely colony nested inside. And many - possibly hundreds - took to the air on a mix of wide, batish wings of bone and membrane and feathery wings of dark colors. They were swarming far overhead and all about the area of the prisons and partially about this side of the city. When the light show finally died Nessoria would be standing there, her feminine portion leaned back from her forelegs - revealed by the light that her legs were discreetly plated in steel with an odd sheen - until they eventually settled to the ground again. Her expression had shifted from the smile to a very displeased, almost disappointed, scowl. Her attention went to the mage, and the state her cuffs were now in on the ground. "... ... those are not very reliable bindings. If that's what they, indeed, are," she murmured, her tone still gentle but annoyed and on the verge of suspicion. And it was aimed at the dragon. "And your story isn't making much sense now, Mister Alrein."

Her most notable "weapons" are Blackbean and Resonance. Blackbean is an elephant-sized demon crow which has served with Jun for many years as a mount and as a bodyguard. He can also use a personal reserve of magic to aid in the casting of a single spell.

Jun's nostrils flared and hissed with annoyance. She rarely resorted to something like assassination to solve her problems, but it would have been nice if the one time she tried it it actually worked.
Her lips parted with fear just slightly as the minotaurs arrived, but she didn't back down. In fact her aura took on a violet hue as it rippled up and down her body and the air around her. Her body was tense and ready to react to any move made against her.
"I take full responsibility for that stunt." She placed a single foot forward, the shimmering violet crackling as she did so. "I was hoping to end your reign of terror over the humans painlessly." She cracked her neck. "But I guess a good old fashioned brawl will work too. Unless you feel like giving a better answer to my initial inquiry?"
And with the power she had gathered, she was willing to attempt to fight the barracks. It really depended on whether Jarkoopi also wanted to throw down or not. She was amenable to a wiser alternative. This wasn't exactly her most brilliant plan...

The Minotaur stopped just shy of the dragon's tail, huffing heavy and flexing in preparation for any order given. The skies continued to warp and shift with hundreds of varied wings of creatures high above. The Arachne seemed unfazed by the display of the woman mage that was at her feet. She hardly shifted her long legs but continued to watch her with something of a cross of mild amusement and slight annoyance. Despite the attempt on her life, powerful as it may have been, Nessoria wasn't making any motion towards Jun.
"Your initial inquiry. Hmm." She seemed to lower her form down just a touch closer to the ground, like one might settle into their chair more comfortably. "It is as simple as I answered before - that is just the way it is. This has been the way of Airedale since the Covenant's first founding with Lord Alexander, and well into the time that Lady Lucile took it over. If the sides had been reversed then I would be where you are now, little mage, and you where I stand. That is where we are.
"But, fret not - you'll learn. I'll be more than happy to give you a personal look into the history and culture of Helmfirth." A small gesture of her hand would summon the Minotaur to attempt to seize the small woman.

"If you were in my shoes would you be wondering why giant spider women have mammary glands, too?" Even with her life in danger and after a failed assassination attempt, in that brief moment, the vicious spider woman would perceive the brief flash of a genuinely curious face. Seriously, of what evolutionary advantage would such voluptuousness confer onto-
- then Nessoria beckoned the minotaur to seize her.
Jun swung her hands around dramatically, and great arcs of violet lightning stream around both herself and "Alrein." Jun grinned devilishly. "I appreciate the offer but I think I'd rather consult my local library. But don't worry. I doubt this will be the last of our chats!"
Yah, she didn't really wanna do it. This whole adventure had been one great mess after another. But spending time with the reckless dragon Jarkoopi had, for a brief moment, regressed some of the maturity she had acquired under Van'ei's tutelage and brought back her youthful ornery self. And for a while it was rather refreshing. It would have been nice fighting an army of supernatural creatures. It might even have been feasible. Still, she decided that the rational thing to do in the end was... blegh... retreat.
And so, instead of using the power she had gathered to atomize the approaching minotaur, the lightning would encircle both herself and Jarkoopi and warp them through the ethereal realm and away from this place. They would both disappear in a bright flash, and leave nothing behind but a cloud of steam and the smell of ozone.
On the floor, fulgurated in the stone, was the shape of a stick figure-styled hand giving Nessoria the finger.
