"I would assume the offender's an outlier though, since the rest of the family seems friendly and not very magically inclined."
When she thought about everything she said, she realized... "You know, I'm kinda surprised you believe me. Now that I'm actually processing everything I've been through, it must all sound quite mad."

"Party. I've indulged in a few vices since coming to the region but gambling's not on my bucket list." She smiled meekly. Having said that she felt like a country bumpkin still.
She put her clothes back on. "You know, I just realized I could use a new outfit. I packed a bikini for the sun but not something for a party. Think any clothing stores are still open?"
(She was wearing her Verri uniform, sans the armor. It didn't look bad and it was clean, but a tad too serious.)
She stretched her shoulders out. Yah, that was nice.

Jun pointed at her bag and concentrated. There was a blue flash of light, and suddenly Jun was no longer wearing her uniform but rather her bikini, a royal blue two piece with a skirt bottom.
(She was a skinny athletic type, so she wasn't very well-endowed.)

"Hot! Hot! Hot hot hothothottatatata..." She jumped around as steam erupted from her cloth. She still hadn't gotten the hang of changing her clothing magically.
When the heat dissipated, she took a deep breath. "Ok, yes, party. Let's go there. Onward."

June rough approximation of dancing still manages to attract attention. A variety of young approach her for a dance and a few casual brush pasts dip a bit below propriety. Even Calico is not left alone a few eager young women attempt to drag him onto the dance floor. Though nobody mentions the bird thing.

Calico allows himself to be dragged to the dance floor. This isn't really his thing. He's trained in ballroom dancing, tap dancing, and Medanese folk dancing, but this is something else entirely. Still, he manages to blend in well enough. He's got a good ear for music, and isn't particularly clumsy. He shuffles his way over to Jun, waving.

(Back from the Lighthouse)
Jun was still in bed. She had a nightmare about being attacked by a giant fire-breathing bird, her only healing item being pineapple juice. Luckily she had an ally in the form of several flying alcoholic beverages armed with laser blasting spells. At some point her dream transitioned in having sex with a lighthouse.
It made a lot more sense while it was happening.
The sun struck her eyes, which fluttered to life like drying out moths... also... fluttering in the sun... to life...
Jun really, really didn't wanna leave her bed.
It took her a second to realize she was on vacation and really had no obligation to do so. She rolled around in her white sheets.
Then her thoughts drifted to Calico and the nature of the resort she had found herself into. Huh, maybe I should consider having an affair.
But did it have to be Calico? After all, she liked making friends too, and how different cultures perceived relationships and sexuality could make things tricky. And there were people from all over the region visiting Carmella. Her culture didn't really object to casual flings.
Suddenly she stood up from her bed. "When did I start forgetting about Ma'sum?!"
