 Carmela Island's main resort consists of a beautiful beach with miles of soft, warm sand. The water is gentle here, and dolphins can often be seen playing in the surf. The hotel is extremely luxurious, with cold drinks and lots of barbecued meats. According to leading food critics, the pineapple juice is delicious. Inside the resort is the Treasure Chest Casino, where people can lose their money, get drunk, and ogle at the waitresses...er...treasure chests. |

Va...ca...tion... va... ca... tion... Jun drooled her way towards the hotel. The moonlight was glistening in the water. The people were joyous. The sand was, sand. There was a lot more going on than just these elements of course, but Jun was too tired to take it all in. Before she could reach the entrance of the hotel, she was suddenly hit by a wonderful realization. My god... all the people... are so... happy... Everything is... happy. There are no vampires, no world-ending super giants, no wraiths... it's all just so... happy. Oh my god. I'm on vacation. I'm REALLY ON VACATION!
Her arms reached out into the sky and flames suddenly erupted from her palms. The column of fire flew up at least a hundred feet into the air with an angry whooshing sound.
Jun was able to contain her glee just long enough to see everyone staring at her in alarm. "Uh... hehehe. Sorry! Just, excited." She briefly thought to herself that perhaps her response would have made more sense had people been able to hear her inner monologue.
How strong was that drink?
She turned to Calico. "Sorry. I'm a mage by the way."

When Jun shot fire into the air instead of gasps of fear there are gasps of surprise and awe followed by clapping. Clearly everyone here thinks she is putting on a show. Some people even shout in disappointment as she moves toward the restaurant. There are no open tables in the restaurant but the two are quickly taken to share a table with many other people. Soon various plates of food and drinks are brought out evidently this is a pay per plate affair. As the two gaze out from the restaurant Jun's question becomes not what is going one, but what isn't? Everywhere the two look up and down there seems to be one massive party. People are laughing, dancing, playing various drinking game, playing various beach games, there are roving entertainers, you can hear hoots and jeers from the casinos. and even this late in the evening you can see swimmers in *ahem* various stats of undress. Carmlea is not known as pleasure Island for nothing and at night is when it becomes truly alive. It is early evening and the party is just getting started people!

After settling there bill which was reasonable for Calico and $$$$ for Jun. Getting a massage proves to be a simple task once they check into the hotel. They offer a variety of services and since most people are at the party right now the massueses are free to see them. Though they do seem slightly tipsy, the young women are still quite skilled. The only question of course is how much this all costs since there are various qualities of rooms and massage ranging from reasonable to insane.

She hadn't undressed in front of anyone in a while, a fact she somewhat regretted. Her shoulders were very tense. A careful observer would notice a few scars and old burn wounds here and there, mementos of the lifestyle which she so desperately needed a vacation from.
She looked over at Calico. So, he was mostly human. Interesting.
"Sowoewoewoewoe... wha-a-a-a-a-at's your sto-o-o-o-o-ry?" Her voice undulated as the masseuse laid into her back.

"Medan huh? That was my first stop in this region. I'm from farther east, a land called the Land-Tiller's Expanse. We're mostly farmers. My dad's one of the best. My mom, not so much, but she's a hell of an archer. I really need to get back in touch with them actually. Their land is involved with some political stuff with the Phoenix State and I can only hope they're ok."
She groaned and buried her head in her pillow as some of her muscles finally relaxed.
"I worked for Camilla for a while, but lately she's taken a break from adventuring, so I've been traveling and trying to become more powerful. Typical adventurer I suppose."

Physical Description: Jun is a human adult, standing 5’4”. She is wiry and fit at approximately 120 lbs. She has olive skin, dark brown hair ending just above her shoulders, and slight epicanthic folds over her dark almond eyes. Her face is squarish with a small chin. Her skin is dotted with battle scars, and her left arm is heavily bandaged due to an unknown affliction.
Clothes and Equipment: Jun possesses a vast collection of seeds, herbs, insects, and scrolls hidden in various pouches in her armor. These serve as reagents for her multitude of spells. Her armor consists of a customized, long-coat style gambeson that is stuffed with a matrix of seeds and plant fibers. Fitted on top is a set of brass-like, enchanted half armor (chest piece, pauldrons, and tassets) which gives off a warm aura. She has an open-faced, burgonet style helmet and coif of the same materials.
Her most notable "weapons" are Blackbean and Resonance. Blackbean is an elephant-sized demon crow which has served with Jun for many years as a mount and as a bodyguard. A minor enchantment allows him to disguise himself as a regular crow. Resonance is an azure blue longsword with a mind of his own. He can intercept minor attacks and can teleport to his owner. He can also use a personal reserve of magic to aid in the casting of a single spell.

"... a thunder mage, a talking crow, a kindly old woman with psychic powers, a noble mercenary, a lizard man, another Fletcher... think I saw a talking dog at some point too, um... oh and a shady back-street rogue... I think... that about covers it..."
The she remembered the rest of her awful journey in Gomrath. "Oh... and uh... world-ending super-sized lava beast from the depths of hell..." She muttered this under her breath.
"Now you see why I need a vacation."
She raised an eyebrow at Calico. "I'm surprised you don't know who the Fletchers are. They're one of the most prolific families in this region."
