The Bay of Gauldin The bay is home to a large majority of Gauldin’s population lives and works. The center of the bay is dominated by a large island on which sits the capital city of Travére. A bridge leads out from the city proper to Bayside, a sprawling urbanscape that takes up a large swath of land along the bay and contains innumerable docks for ships. The Duchy of Arcoux The Duchy of Arcoux, ruled by Duke Nicolas Soult, is one of the most prosperous fiefdoms in Gauldin thanks in large part to the diversity of its many peoples as well as the economic policies of its Duke. Near its borders with the other fiefs and cities of Gauldin lies the Keep of Duke Soult, as well as the majority of the Arcoux's human population. The humans in Arcoux are mostly farmers, growing subsistence crops such as corn and wheat, or are craftsmen in the direct employ of their Duke. |
